Last couple days my outside temp has been reading 20 deg higher which also affects the ECU. Does this mean the sensor in front of the screen condenser is going bad?
I was told that this sensor has no impact on the ECU (i.e. simply for display outdoor temp). But the WMW page suggests it can regulate the AC system. Would love to know what it affects.

Yes the ECU uses it to know the outside temperature to do it's calculations for timing and fuel.
Also the A/C uses it for it's calculations to know how hard to run the system. And if the sensor is failed the A/C won't come on at all as it defaults to think it's negative 40 degrees.
