Bicycle is longer then the car is wide....LOL

I have seen those style hitches on eBay for a decent price....I just don't like the idea of losing the fog light assembly in the lower bumper....sacrifices have to be made I guess

My fog light still fits when I don't have the rack installed.

I had one of those Saris racks and hated it. No good way to lock to it and skinny tires wanted to sway around in the front holders.

Which model number? I didn't think they had one to fit the R53.

Curt will tell you it does not fit an R53, but they say that because the center exhaust makes it hard to get a pin through the hitch and attachments above the exhaust. You can get it just a bit cheaper directly from Curt or from e-trailer.com. Look for the 11126 or C11126. e-trailer was $162.23 with free shipping last time I checked

Amazon Amazon

and yes total pain in the *** to put the pin in.
originally installed for bicycles but recently found a superlight motorcycle trailer and so will towing my ducati
the bike is 400lb wet and the trailer less than 150lb

super simple trailer. basically an I-beam with wheels.

Better a little too much tongue weight than too little for the trailer to track well. Interesting trailer, though. Have you checked the Tongue weight with the bike on? I believe 10% of total trailer plus load weight is the recommendation.

Please post a photo when you have it hooked up.
