I've been doing a lot of reading (and NAM searching) on the MDM hitch and think it's the best solution for my bike-transporting needs on my 2005 Cooper S, but still have one concern - access to the hitch pin under the bumper.

Most of the common two-bike racks have threaded pins (more secure). From what I've read, this type of pin often needs to be wrench-tightened and therefore may not be a good option given the MDM hitch placement.

Anyone who uses the hitch have any advice on a good rack? I know MDM offers their own rack, but I haven't been able to get in touch with them to ask questions, and haven't been able to find any comments on their rack. I plan to transport bikes every 2 weeks or so.

you could buy a seasucker. Love mine and its an easy one easy off and can use it with any car.
