When did your fuel pump go out?

I'm going to be going on a solo 1000 mile trip soon and I'm worried about my fuel pump going out and leaving me stranded. There haven't been any warning signs but these cars aren't that reliable. Idk, maybe I'm just being paranoid. My car was built in 04 and has 73k miles on it. When did you guys replace your fuel pumps/ when did it fail?

My Mini (06) has 100k with the original pump still in it. But replace it for peace of mind

I still have the original in my 03S with 94000 on the clock. Maybe buy a spare to carry on your trip just for piece of mind, but I don't think I'd mess with one that's working fine now.

Thanks guys, I was worried to see fuel pumps going out really early but it looks like that isn't the case. Seems like I'll be fine *knock on wood*

Maybe familiarize yourself with the swap, if relatively painless, maybe done on the spot with minimal tools?
