My check engine light and stability control light came on because of a misfire on cylinder 3. I have replaced the fuel injector, spark plug and wires and nothing has been fixed. Does anyone know what I should try next?

 

Check the cylinder 3 contact point on the coil pack. As I recall it is prone to corrosion which can cause misfire. If corroded, replace the pack.

That is interesting... I just cleaned that contact point on the MSD coil I have... wonder why it is on the #3 plug...

 

One of life's MINI mysteries - it's always the #3 contact that corrodes - nobody knows why!
A little dielectric grease will help.

I inspected the plugs and found that they both look clean. In the picture below is the contact points on the coil pack. The one on the right is for cylinder 3 (the bad cylinder)

 

That looks quite alright. You are missing the heatshield on the engine side?

I think the only way to move forward is to try another coil
