R50/53 Could This Be More Fun?
I've been motoring for less than a week. I quit the November Club last Thursday. I'm near the 500 mile mark in 6 days.
During that week lots of stuff has happened. My Sharona was egged (but she survived), I've pulled off the 17" runflats and put on 15" snows, and I've driven, driven, driven. Faster each time. I'm starting to push street sensibility. Really, officer, the car is in control - I'm just along for the ride.
I've been buying stuff from MCO sponsors - stubby antenna, rally numbers, and the trunk mesh thingy.
Tomorrow she goes in for paint protection and window tinting. (I hope the window tint stuff dries OK in Toronto's freezing weather).
The wait is tough (as you Clubbers know) but it's also kind of fun as you wait-it-out on the various forums and boards. Without a doubt, this one is the BEST. The online community at MCO is amazing!
Your family and friends will eventually tune out your incessant MINIisms - guaranteed!
But the best - driving. Everyday is just more damn fun than the day before. The car loosens up, you get more familiar with it, and together you make beautiful road music. It's just too cool for words.
New cars are always fun - but there's something unique and special about a MINI. It is a car with personality. It feels different than any other car I've ever driven. And it's frisky. MINIs were born to rock.
Could this be more fun?

I am struggling with the lack of daylight. Trying to get Mrs. Chippy cleaned up for the 1st, large scale, San Diego Mini Meet this Sat. I take a lot of pride in washing her myself. But, some days/weeks it can be a strain. Oh, the reward though. She will look so cool. Rally #'s on her side and lined up with the other Mini's so proud.
Meeting all of the folks we chat with daily here at MCO.
I will have to answer your question with a big
NO!!
Mini life gets better everday, but the fun is a constant in my life
Motor On!!

I've had mine since Oct and still I have to keep from laughing out loud when I drive. So much fun! My wife was in the passenger seat this eveneing when I kicked the crap out of a Cavalier with a fart-pipe. She says "Your not driving this car so it will last a long time!" I'm thinking who cares, driving it hard doesn't damage anything that can't be replaced... why buy such a fun car and drive like an old fart?!?
Congrats on your new MINI Ry! Well I can tell you much like the others here the fun just never stops. I've had my baby since 7/31 and the grin and enthusiasm is still there, actually more so now that I've gotten to know it better. I look forward to every time I get to take MINI B out...(gotta go where? gotta do what? I'll do it!!) I've NEVER had a car that I've enjoyed driving as much as this car. ENJOY and one can never have too much FUN!!

Yucca,
Still planning to pay for it with a briefcase full of cash?

Any good tint shop should have a heat lamp of some kind. Make sure they heat the windows after the install. this will help the adhearing process.
