Okay, so this is really pushing it, but I've been cruising this site for alomost three months now learning all there is to know about the MINI I ordered and by the time it gets here (thanks to all of you) I will know what to expect. I placed my first order in August with a dealer in Oregon (home state) with a projected delivery of one year. Went up North and put a deposit down in Washington with a delivery date of 10 months (a two month difference seemed like an eternity) and then placed another deposit with a dealer in Utah with an estimated 6 months wait, which puts me somewhere near the end of March. Of course by then there will be MINI's with 25K on them and we'll all know a little more - not looking to start a club, just wanting to know who is in the same nail-biting, gut-wrenching, close-your-eyes-while-driving-so-you-don't-see-a-MINI-and-get-jealous kind of mindset.

Pushing the envelope with the "Can't wait till March" club.. . . . .

but then again, I am the one calculating the volume and mass of pennies necessary to purchase a MINI with spare change. . . .

Well I was supposed to get my car in March but I talked to my dealer the other day and found out about the allotment cuts of S's, so now I may not even order until March which puts me into May.

The tradition continues at MCO!

Apparently it's never to early to start a "Can't Wait For...." Club. Go for it. We feel your pain, anticipation and excitement.

The Clubs make the waiting easier. Sure, it's real easy!!

It's kind of like the ketchup commercial (sings......) A n t i c i p a t i o n.....

You only have about 90 sleepless nights to go.

All I can hope is that this is my club. With the MCS allocations reduced, I hope I don't have to join the April or later clubs.

Plus the annoyance of having to repay the initiation fee each time.

MINIHOLLAND -

I started this club using the date I was originally quoted. Since my dealer had their alloction reduced I may be looking at April or even May. I was planning on picking it up on my birthday which is the first week of March, but it looks that has come and gone.

To everyone who is in the same boat as MINIHOLLAND and I - stay strong!

I'm in.

Mine is due late March hopefully.
We'll see, all the forums comments state relatively close estimation dates.

Waiting for a status code...

L.Mini, what do you want for your birthday?

I have to submit my resignation from this club. Reduced allocation, no build date, no CWfM club.

I'll wait until I get a build date before I post on another "Can't wait..." club. I can be patient, my MINI will eventually be here.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Well I'm proad to say that I am now a member of the "Can't Wait for March" club. My mom and I ordered Lucy tonight at Knauz MINI, and they told us to expect a late march delivery. I just hope I can wait that long.

Lucy is a CR/W MC with Prem. and Cold packages and the all important white bonnet stripes. Just so you all know, Lucy is named after a famous red-head, guess which one! I was trying to decide between Lucy and Ginger, and Lucy won out.

So, It'll be a LONG two months or so, but Lucy will be mine soon enough!

So long fellow "clubbers!"

Hey MiniZee,

How long were you on a wait list before you placed your order?

PDX,

We were not on a wait list, we just went to the dealer and ordered one. If you are anywhere near Knauz, you should go there, they had no wait to order one, AND they had like 30 on the lot to take home.

welcome jtmini-

so what all did you get on your MINI? Color etc.

You know I've noticed that after you drive the MINI, nothing else seems quite as exciting, especially my mom's Honda Accord But I guess I have to wait till March for some real motoring fun!

Looks like I'm in. Got my production number Dec 28, and if all goes well, I motor in March!

I think I was lucky, I gave the dealership my MSC order in October, and they told me then to expect a production number in January, then said "maybe February" when allocations went down. Came a little early! For those of you who are worried about allocations, keep hope alive!
