R50/53 Any "Can't Wait For January" Clubbers Out There?
Hey, Hamster! Go for it! While we would love to have you as a member of the January Club, that production date looks like you're probably in February. Get that thread going! It's never too early
heheheheh That's so cool Barky...
Mr. Clean... yup I too tried all the lounges I could - without any luck I might add. I too am buying through Pentagon, do they have the BMW monopoly here for US Spec cars? I've only seen one other S (US Spec) in our area, it's a pure silver. I can't wait to start seeing more. I hope you really do see yours by next month! When is your build week? I was thinking of visiting the plant as well, esp when I saw the cool contest on mini.com (well the tour the factory thing). It wouldn't be very difficult to get there. Actually what I tought would be the awesome (though it won't happen) would be to go there when the car was being discharged and driving it back from Oxford  Well keep me updated, as it looks like I'm trailing you by a few weeks!
Good Luck

Welcome, miniron, and congrats on your first post!
You'll find a great bunch of folks on MCO who are happy to answer any questions you've got and they'll make you feel right at home.
Looks like your MINI is ready for shipping a week before mine. I called ASK MINI last night and was told that the building would probably commence around 12/9 with completion on Friday the 13th. I hope to be on the Falstaff on 12/15. Keep us posted on your MINI's progress.

My MCS is on the Maersk Wind right now about to arrive in New York. My Mini had a 11/22 production date (that's when she was finished) and a scheduled for production date of one week earlier.
The ship has to go all the way to Port Hueneme (12/22)and I live in Seattle so don't expect to see her until sometime in late January. It's Christmas time and I'm wishing for a miracle though.
For those of you who haven't seen it, you have to check out the new factory movie tour. It is so cool, I have already watched it 3 times and only found it yesterday!
Here's the link:

Seattle! I love Seattle! I'm actually going there on business this coming week. I work for that big coffee company....the one in the SODO building. Just love flying into SeaTac. First you get that great view of Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Hood. Then they circle you over Boeing Field and downtown. I get to see my company's world headquarters from above.
Was at the Salish Lodge a few weeks ago, too. Gorgeous! And quite exciting for a Twin Peaks fan like myself!

Your car will probably start in production next Monday. It's really fun to track it through production. You can call Ask Mini and they can tell you the station. (Paint, body shop etc.). Mini2 FAQ's has all the codes.
I work from home mostly but have an office on the 47th floor of Bank Of America Tower (76 stories). The susnsets have been spectaciular.
By the way, thanks for the coffee buzz.

Wow - The January Club is HOT! You guys are seriously up for a challenge!
Hey, Decemberites, take note - these late MINI-Bloomers are serious. Good thing we'll be gettin' our motorin' skills down before they hit the streets!

Looks like I'm in the "Can't wait for January Club" too. "Rudolph" the red MCS will be born on Dec. 13 but won't arrive in time for making the Christmas rounds this year. He will be out and about though for 2003.
Be Nice or there won't anything in your Christmas stocking.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but a MINI with no tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick!
Welcome, Santa. I'll be sure to leave the cookies and milk out for you!

I posted this earlier this evening in the February Club. Didn't want to leave out my buddies in the January Club....
For those of you on the west coast, you might be able to get a glimpse of your MINI going through the Panama Canal. It's probably a long shot, but you've got to do something to keep busy until it's MOTORIN' TIME!

>>Hi Miniron
>>I had a December 6th production date, but it was actually built on the 3rd and on the train to the port on the 5th. I am hoping to get on the ship to CA on the 14th.
>>JB
On Friday the 6th I found my Status Code was 155, (completed the build). If the ship goes to CA the 14 and we are both on it, way to cool. I am in Sacramento and work for Apple Computer, but my focus, other than family and work is the Mini...
