A couple days ago I put the JCW R95 wheels on my car to make sure that the wheels ran true. Before I put them on I put on the JCW springs, rear sway bar and sport exhaust tips. Well today I washed up the car and cleaned the wheels after about 3 months of neglect and I have to admit these wheels are growing one me. I have two sets for sale my R98’s and these, and whatever one sells first I will keep the others. I just wanted to say how well the JCW springs ride with the B4’s I am sure with the car being lowered it will wear out the shocks faster but well worth it.
Over the past week I have put all of the part from the parts car on my car minus the JCW brakes, I am waiting for the cash to buy the rotors. This cars looks and handling have changed a bit from just the little bit I have driven it, I am in love with this car again....I have installed the armrest, factory shift light, auto dimming rear view mirror with home link, rear foglight, alarm and the sport tips. These are the reason why I bought the parts car, and now just waiting for the program from Germany so I can code all the added stuff.
I have to say I really like the look of the car with these wheels, and yes Black is the way I will go if they don’t sell. I ordered some rotors and brake pads go I can get the JCW brakes put on next weekend
I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of the wheels.... but as mentioned (didn't even notice them at first), the colored arches and the checkers at the bottom are SPECTACULAR! Nice looking car!
I have really gotten use to the JCW wheels but over this next week I am going to refinish them, and I think I am going to paint them a different color, not sure on the color just yet. I am unsure on black or a different color of silver.
I am a happy Mini owner.... after a month or so messing around trying to get my coding software to connect to my my car, I finally got it to connect. I was dealing with the person I got the cable with for a few weeks then he said it was cause my pin 7 and 8 had the wrong voltage!!!! I spent a few weeks researching what the voltage should be and came to the conclusion they where within range. I tried to message the seller but he never would reply to me, so I took the cable apart and removed the switch that was installed and connected pin 7 and 8 via the wires that were left from switch removal, and bingo it worked. I finally got my alarm codes and rear foglight to work. The programs that came with my cable run really slow on my computer so I ended up using mikes easy bmw tools and wow it was simple once I watch a YouTube video on how the use the bmw coding tool. I will just have to figure out how to get the alarm to make noise once it is activated, works when disarming. I also tried to do the auto up but didn’t work. I ended up using mike easy bmw coding and wow it was easy once if watched the YouTube video. The two programs that made it easy where bmw coding tool and ncs experts.
I spent some time today painting my wheels, end plan is to add silver accents via pinstripe but couldn’t get them to stick today, was a little bit to humid today. Will try again next weekend Anton clear coat over top, well won’t let me load pics
