JCW flash!!

Called up my local mini dealer and talked to the service department, they said they don't flash non JCW's anymore due to liability. My guess is some jerk messed it up for all of us. Any suggestions for an ECU flash that doesn't cost $500.

Current mods: 1 ball exhaust, cravenspeed CAI, 15% pully, 380cc injectors, MSD ignition (not installed, waiting on delivery)

If you’re in the NE then Peobody Mini.

I might’ve lucked out and got a good service rep. I gave him my list of bolt ons (all of which are JCW OEM). I’ve got everything to match the JCW210 except the head. He spoke to the the senior technician, called me back the next day, told me $120, takes about 3 hours, and he’d need 2 day notice to line everything up and schedule.

Got it done this AM. Feel free to PM if you need more details.

Thank you for this thread! I was recently looking into an ECU tune for my area, but all the custom tune places are looking like $1k. YEESH!

WMW, I'm going to be checking your way once I can get me a set of JCW jets for a good price.

I agree going to WMW as the dealer flash is a nice stop gap (considering price) before sending my DME to Way for the quick tune this winter.

I'm heading the WMW route for my birthday next month. It's going to suck not having the mini around for the time, but definitely doing one of their in house flashes instead of the JCW after a bit of studying. Now to pay the $60 for my airbag light because I took the seat out, ugh.
