If I only get one song, it's going to be "Boys of Summer" by Don Henley.

Otherwise a healthy compilation of the Stones can be great for a long trip. U2 and Tom Petty are always reliable.

You've gotta have stuff you can sing along with..........loud.
I do Joe Cocker, with hand gestures, and "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window."

It's a British car... Elton John, of course

Also, Kylie Minogue (heard her first when I was traveling in London)

All kinds of music, though...

>>I am an enormous Flaming Lips fan as well. Soft Bulletin and Hit to Death in the Future Head. I've been trying to find a copy of "In a Priest Driven Ambulance" for YEARS.

Try contacting Skip Groff at Yesterday & Today Records. He may have a copy. Skip ran the most incredible record store I've ever seen but I believe he is now doing mailorder only. Some pretty famous people in the DC punk scene worked in his shop. Check out the link; http://yesterdayandtodayrecords.com/
If he doesn't have it or can't get it, try; http://www.gemm.com/

My favs in the MINi include anything off Machine Gun Etiquette by the Damned, Silver Rocket- Sonic Youth, Future Sounds of London, Massive Attack & Cat Power (yeah Chan!)

all the CD's in Roxy are comps (except Cold Play) and each one depends on my mood...I've got some chill stuff (morcheba, massive attack, hooverphonic, portishead, moby thanx to cminigo), some 80's (depeche, howard jones, the cure), jazz (miles, jenna mammina, dave brubeck), a whole disc of concrete blond, a whole disc of dave mathews and a disc of more rockin stuff (metallica, smashing pumpkins, 311, limp bizkit, blah blah blah) and of course james brown (thanx clover!).

the mix changes constantly too. I've got over 400 (

I’m in the process of converting my extensive vinyl collection to MP3 format. Much of the old Blues I listen to can’t be found on CD’s with artists like:
Furry Lewis
Little Walter
Mississippi Joe Callott
Big Bill Broonzy
Sonny Boy Williamson
Big Mama Thornton

I also listen to most current rock, but find it lacking for the most part and keep going back to the masters.
Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band
Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention
Pink Floyd
The Who
Jimi
Johnny Winter
Stevie Ray Vaughn

You want an adrenalin rush; do 103 dB of “Magic Bus” by The Who from “Live at Leeds”.

My absolute favorite CD to listen to is The Apples in Stereo's "The Discovery Of A World Inside The Moone." I don't really know how to discribe it, but it sounds kind of like surf music, with horns. It's the best when it's really nice and sunny out, it just makes you feel happy, and it makes your motoring experience so much better.

Check out their web site.

Oh, and another good CD is,Beck's Midnight Vultures.

I havent even gotten my mini yet, but when I do, its Counting Crows (my fav band of all time), John Mayer, Dave Mathews, Evanescence (becoming one of my favorite bands very quickly), Garbage (Awesome!), and anything that kicks @$$.

I love just about all music, though these are my current favorites. I am sure there will be every possible kind of music playing, but Counting Crows is always my favorite, and Evanescence is the new obsession...so those will be dominant initially.
