Help Identifying Some Aero Pieces...

Can somone tell me what taillights these are (I'm specifically interested in getting rid of all of the chrome accents on my 04 Base MINI) and also what front bumper? I think it's the AERO front - but doesn't the AERO have holes for lighting???

Those taillights are just factory MINI taillights from 2002-2004. They introduced a new design with the facelift in July of 2004, which I assume is what you have. Those taillights integrate the reverse lights into the bottom corners of each light, and the rear fog lamps were moved to where the reverse light used to be. So if you want that older style, you'll need to do some rewiring to get your reverse light to work and the fog lamp if you have that option.

Both look like factory lights that have been "Joey" modded. You take the lenses off, paint the parts you don't like, then glue back together. The aero bumper looks like the parking lamp holes have been filled, or the lenses just painted or smoked. I can't see the pic too well on my phone.

^ I think that might be the best answer bc I couldn't find the factory lights that look that smooth even when I searched only for the 02 models. Thanks for that.

I'll get AERO stuff ordered and on the way. I'll be running some fogs up front. Thanks guys!!!!

Hard to see, but it looks like he added aftermarket brake ducts in place of the fog lights, too.

Another interesting this is that I can't see an exhaust on this at all. I'm pretty sure it's a base - but maybe he has a turn-down under the car.

Then its a Cooper ( NON S ) 2002-200 hardtop with the factory aero kit. There is a kit w/ and w/o PDC, PDC is the parking distance control, which if you have it there are 4 sensor in the bumper cover already. If not you dont have it,

Thanks , let me know if you need anything else. I am the MINI guru of parts and JCW / rare items here.

And thanks for the orders. The aero kit will look awesome. I would like to get it for my own MINI Convertible also.

Hey ECS --- I just realized that there may be a product to swap my silver/chrome grill w/ the black mesh on my 04 BASE Cooper?? I think if I could do that and add fogs that would be a cleaner look than getting the entire Aero bumper.

Basically I want to swap out the upper/mid/lower portions of my bumper to the black/mesh look.

Aero trim kit :

Factory Aero looks like this. 51130140259 KT

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/51130140259KT/

That base you would have lower front bumper grille. I would just paint it black. The aero version only fits with the aero bumper

Add foglights to bumper ?

They are stock tail lights. Not modded except for application of Red Lamin-x.
