03 r53 driving light question

Hey all, when you turn the light switch on the steering column to the first selection (second one is the headlights) which lights turn on? Cause mine does absolutely nothing

What is the DRLs? Cause mine won't let my fogs turn on and the dash doesn't light up. I forgot to check the rear lights

DRL - Daytime Running Lights - low powered headlamps
Driving Lights - mounted in front grill, turn on only when high beams are on and DL switch is activated (little green light on switch will light up)
First detent is parking lights - front yellow lights in bumper, and rear red markers in tail lights

IIRC: From top to bottom - headlights, driving lights(DRL)/turn signal light, fog lights

Does the 03 MCS even have DRLs? If so, how are they activated? Not that I really need to know, I think that if you want your lights on you should turn them on, not have the car decide when they should be on... Just my $0.02 worth.

The 2nd switch turns on parking lights, which are the side indicators and low brake lights IIRC. The DRLs are actually the high-beam headlights running on low voltage.

+1 the factory DRL are in the headlights on the high beam.

They will have to be activated by the dealership to turn them on or you can do it with some third party programming software coders.

List of other options

I can't seem to my driving lights to turn on. I just recently bought an 08 MC Clubman and are still learning how to work it.

My little green button doesn't light up.

Your in the Gen 1 MINI land. On Gen 2 ( MINI Clubman R55)

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...t-working.html

The rally lights *aka additional driving lights have a button on the dash on the left hand side.

They only come on with the high beam by the program.
