I have 4 cars in total now but I'm seriously considering going all out on performance mods on my favorite recently purchased car (R53), does anyone have any experience getting one of these bad boys to 250-300 hp? Is the car even remotely reliable with this type of power and how does the car feel pushing that kind of HP?

So far I've only added the ATI damper with 2% overdrive size, 16% pulley, and DDM Air Intake system all from Waymotorworks. I have a work supplied vehicle, so this is kind of my main non winter back up car after I get home from work.

My other 3 vehicles:

Congrats on your R53. You have a nice stable there.

If you want reliable HP, I'd recommend you talk to Jan @ RMW. RMW Site. To get the low-down, register and check out the forums. Lots of straight-dope and useful info there from guys who know their isht.
You can also contact Jan through Facebook.

Don't be put off by Jan's site; he's known for high HP modded MINIs, not web design With a cam, header, big valve head, and tune you could get to 270+ HP at the crank, easy. Jan is in Cali, but he does tune parties at various locations throughout the US, and he can remote tune your car as well.

That YJ is awesome!

There are a lot of threads on NAM about 250hp+ that you should check out. I listed a few below for you. It may also be a good idea to give some of the shops that are vendors on here a call. They can provide you with details on what all it would take to get you what you want.
