Anyone else with this problem?

Anyone else with this problem?-image-4052230039.jpg

Does anyone else have droopy front on their Mini? My driver side hangs slightly lower and it is driving me nuts. Common problem? Is it easily fixed?

Might be a good idea to remove the front bumper and see what could be going on. There are 2 screws right under the headlight:

This DIY might be helpful.

Guessing you've owned the car before this happened? Something has either come loose or bent some how.. ( assuming the bolts/screws are still there holding everything it in place) Has the front bumper/bumper brace been off the car for any reason? The brace may have not been put back on correctly..

We talked about this before and linked in this thread: You can adjust the front bumper a bit.

Another better guide for the front bumper:

Thanks and if you need anything else let me know.

I only just noticed it. Haven't done anything with the front end of the car, and since I've only had it a little over a month I've only put 200 miles on it.

Something might have just come loose so check it out and see if everything is in working order. The DIY I posted should be helpful with the disassemble. Let us know what you find out.

Also make sure the latches to the hood are even and one side is not up way more then the other when the hood is shut.

Part of this kit and linked above in the thread, they can be adjusted.

So I got the problem figured out... It didn't latch all the way lol. Most ridiculous thing ever. However I'm glad it's fixed and my car looks great again.

It's normal for one side to hang lower than the other

Funny enough my 05 started to do the same thing... And as ECS suggested (and you have found) its a latching issue.
Mine is spontaneous, and now requires an extra firm push on the driverside to completely latch. I've adjusted it (two bolts) 6 ways from Sunday. I got it to close properly once, but the next time it didn't again.

Any suggestions on how to align it would be appreciated (with the fender liner out maybe?)

Mine will do this every now and again. Try opening the bonnet and shutting it again.

Hit the latch & that cable with penetrating oil. They don't like to catch and stick. The cables tend to rust as they are exposed to the elements in the front.

The latches dont have that much movement, but enough to bring the hood down some. Its a trial and error to adjust them. Open and close the hood multiple times while you move then from top to bottom.
