Pushed back onto the JINGU MARU... due to arrive on Dec. 10 - Yesterday, the cargo tracking site said i was on a boat which already departed. Now the boat's far from even being in Southhampton.

Hey Jason, you must be on the Trinidad with me (and stop me if we've had this conversation before!) The wait is KILLING me! My husband even told me to "shut up" at Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, I was going on so about this car!

Let's hope our babies get unloaded as scheduled today... woohoo!

Okay, can I still be in the club if I get to pick up my car tomorrow? I started in this Club and I'd hate to switch, but I do want to get my car. It was on a truck on the 27th, and when I called the dealer MiniChirstina told me it was on the list as being there, but she hadn't seen it yet. If I'm lucky I'll be motoring tomorrow! I can't stand it anymore!

Wow. Our Cooper was on that boat. The cargo tracking site does show it has departed N.Y., but of course the owner's lounge still shows it "en route."
You're in Maryland, I think? We're about the same distance north of N.Y.C. as you are south of it, so maybe ours will arrive Tuesday, too.
That'll be awesome.

 

You know you have it bad when...

*You call ASK MINI and they know you by name, and they know your production number off the tops of their heads.

*You have at least 4 MINI models, but no real MINI.

*You are still tracking the boat after it has dropped off your MINI and returned to Europe.

*You are camped out in front of the dealer waiting for your MINI, and people passing think you are waiting for tickets for the next episode in the Star Wars trilogy.

As I was saying, Leslie, it doesn't matter if we've talked about it a hundred times, because that's what suffering people do. I am on the Trinidad as well and suffering plenty.

If all goes as planned we should be on the CA shores as I write this. I can't get on the tracking site...something wrong with the server (too many inquiries :smile: )

We should be there very soon. I'm sorry your husband doesn't understand, but neither does my wife. But, hell, they don't have to understand right now. Soon they will understand completly when they see that we are never home, but out driving our cars. Actually, my wife might like that.

You are very kind...especially for not accusing me of some sort of MINI-induced dementia that makes me belatedly remember conversations...

The last thing I could get from the tracking site was that the ship had sailed from Port Hueneme... now it denies me access-- perhaps since my car is off the ship, it just ain't my business tracking the ship anymore? Doesn't it just kill you that this is happening on the w/e and we can't call MINIUSA till Monday??? (I haven't bothered with my dealership because historically I know more, sooner, than they do.)

You are right-- it will soon be over and we will be motoring happily. And to heck with the spouses-- they don't have to understand everything, do they? Isn't it a little bit of mystery that keeps love alive, anyway?

Should be hitting the CA. shore today! Then it's only a matter of days till I'll see may baby. Just wondering if I shared a ride with anyone. Gotta know if Winnie had brothers, sisters or friends with her.

okay...it's the 2nd day of the month in which (hopefully) all club members will be getting their MINIs. Who's first?

Mine is still on the boat, just off of the east coast with expected drop off to the west coast port on 12-15. A call to askmini later today should hopefully get me an estimated delivery date, maybe.

 

I'll be quitting this club on Wednesday the 4th. One month and 3 days after her birth. As much as I love this club, I'll be glad to go.

Welllll, it could be me! Talked to ASKMINI this a.m. Alfie is at the VPC in Oxnard, and if (and I know it's a big if) things go according to schedule, he should be released to the dealer on Wed. I likely won't be able to pick him up till Sunday but still... it's LOOKING GOOD!!!

I may not be first but ASKMINI said my DS/W was thru VPC and was released to the carrier
Now waiting to be asigned to a truck for delivery to the dealer
They said usally 24 hours
EDD is 12.4.02, could be smack on
Born 11.14.02, that would be quick turnover

I was on Century Highway 3 (Chili Red/White MC w/ premium package, manual transmission, sport seats and DSC, born 10/25). ASK MINI said my ride wasn't at the VPC yet and couldn't give a dealer delivery date. I'm in Salt Lake City, so I'm not expecting delivery for a week or two. Sigh.

I'm joining and leaving. My MINI landed in NJ on 11/14 but was stuck at the VPC for a while and didn't get to the dealer untill yesterday. This afternoon I am off to pick her up.

 

Thank goodness... I can now breathe a HUGE sigh of relief!

Just checked the WW site and my MINI has been loaded onto the Isolde!!! She is scheduled to land in Charleston 12/13 and then will have a short 5 hour drive to my dealer. It looks like my Christmas dreams will be coming true!

I picked up my beautiful new MCS last night, Dec. 2, and drove it home in the snow I'll have pics and a full report soon!

I was on Century Highway 3 and according to cargo tracking and my MC was discharged 1 Dec 10.45 am. Hopefully it will be on it's way to Denver soon. I was told 10-14 days after unloding it would take to get here. It is getting so close I can almost feel it.
