My mini was produced on the 14th of November. They siad the next step isv Releasing. So by Monday they said it would be on the train and by Wed it should be ready for dispatch at port of exit. They just have to wait for next ship, This is really exciting ( since back in August I was told i wouldnt get my baby until January). I see you mentioned tracking the boat. how do i do that?
I bet i get my car before X-mas.

Back on page 3 of this thread, sandwiched between two MandyinMD posts is a Goffygrape post with the link to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen cargo tracking page. Just enter the last 7 digits of your VIN # and it will show up if its been booked yet. The order is Booked, Received at terminal and loaded on vessel.
My mcs was also produced on the 14th of November and I was told by askmini that it was in the lot waiting for transport to Southhampton on Thursday 11.14. According to the WW site it was Booked on 11.15 at 15:55, Received at Terminal 11.16 at 08:47 and Loaded on Vessel 11.16 at 19:21 on the Haul Triton. You sure your not there also? Better Check. I was expecting mine in January but the Triton launches today 11.17, due into NY Tuesday 11.26. If your not on it the next ship out of Southhampton is the Don Juan departing 11.24, arriving NY 12.03.

Mine was supposed to be completed on the 15th, but I am not sure if it was or not. I'm going to have to call on Monday. I've tried the shippers site, and it isn't listed yet either. I hope I don't have to wait for the boat that leaves on the 24th! Since I'm west coast, that could mean January delivery! I'm not liking the way this is going

 

Hi hear ya dbwilldo, mine was to be completed in week 46 (ending nov.15)..by the looks of the shipping schedule looks like it won't make the Haul Triton but will have to wait for the Don Juan on the 24th Nov.

 

oh yea...pretty slick system for checking delivery dates using VIN's from eBay...I did a few and thought it was fairly nifty

Just called ASK MINI and holy crap, Roxy was born on Saturday! Sitting in the yard at MINI is a BRG/W MCS that has my name attached to it! WOOHOO. According to Jen (BTW, the most personable one at ask mini, she was really nice), it's a matter of paper work before it gets on the train to Southhampton. Should have an update before the end of the week, I hope. Just gonna have to keep checking the shippers site and see what happens.

So, I don't know which boat I'll be on, but I think your right in saying that it won't be the Don Juan. hopefully I'll know soon enough

How do I tract it on the water

I had an 11/15/02 production date. It appears that my MINI is loaded in Southampton on the Figaro. It's due in South Carolina 11/29/02. Any mates on the ship. I think it's getting close ... finally! :smile:

Momentum, my Mini will be getting off the boat in Canada(Halifax), then making the long journey via rail to Vancouver, the Exact opposite end if the country :smile:

 

It's because I'm in Southern CA isn't it? that's why Roxy is sitting outside in the cold and rain, not having yet been invited to take the grand trip across the pond, down through the panama canal (she had better take some pictures!) and finally up the deep blue warm waters of the Pacific until she has been delivered to the docks at either Long Beach or Port Hueneme. I can't think of any other reason. Anyone else on the West coast, 11-15 or so production date, still waiting for a ride?

Maybe just a little too much time on my hands tonight....

Your production date is the day your car is finished being made. Your car is probably already done... I would call ask mini. They are really nice.

 

finally...status 160 today (released to distribution)...hope I make the Trianon, which is set to land in Long Beach on 12/15! could it really only be a month or so away?

Are you sure you are not on the Don Juan with me??? I just guess at what your VIN might be (compared to mine) and I show TD61718 is on it's way.

Maybe this is not your VIN... like I said I was guessing. Juat wishful thing on my part maybe... I want you to get your (and me get my) mini ASAP!!!
