Well I seem to be a little late to the club, but I should have my new mini in a few days. I just called and found out it hit the vdc in NJ today and should be on its way to me tomorrow. Cross your fingers, I might have it this weekend. I CAN'T wait to get back out on the road since I sold my Passat earlier this year. It's hard being carless, but I think this will have been worth the wait. Is anyone else waiting for one in Minneapolis?

I forgot about this topic. Got mine yesterday. Already done 110 miles. What is the ideal run-in amount, before I can take it to the red line? I have got the new steering wheel, with pertherated leather (sorry about spelling) and thumb grips. He also said the white door cards are new. Does any one else have them. They look good with the anthracite. A good contrast and a complete color reversal from dark door cards and silver trim. I am loving every second of driving it. The speedo should read smiles per hour.

The manual recomends keeping it below 4500rpm for the first 1200 miles, and no full throttle. :???:

looks like i have to move over to the january club. cars not in and they dont think this week. three weeks in country and cant go 300 miles to the dealer. thought the long shoreman strike was over. so off to do the holidays will have to take delivery in the new year. :evil:

sorry you have to wait so much longer cuny...I can feel your pain. Mine took FOREVER to just get to port and then I hear 2 weeks until it reaches the dealer. oof. Speaking of which, I stopped by Crevier MINI last night to check on the status, and they had a crap load of MC's for sale. According to them, they bought a bunch from a dealer in Tennessee. kinda cool rolling into the lot to see that many MINI's all in one place

Just checked the shippers site, and mine was discharged yesterday at 6:45AM! The Trianon is now on her way to Tacoma, if anyone is waiting for theirs on that ship.

I got the email today that Santa dropped off a large gift for me at the MINI dealership!! I'm picking my baby up tomorrow @ 6 pm. I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself.

The AIDA unloaded 240 MINI's in New York yesterday.

The shipment to New York had the following onboard;

72 - MINI Coopers - Manual Transmissions
82 - MINI Coopers - CVT
86 - MINI Cooper 'S'

Just playing around on the shipping site and thought someone in the December Club would like to know. :smile:

So much for today being my "estimated delivery date," though. Just called Ask Mini and at last update, Blanche was still waiting to be loaded onto a truck in NYC. I hope I'll get her before Xmas!!

waiting waiting waiting....the WW site says that mine was discharged Monday at 6:45AM, but the OL still say En Route, and my dealer doesn't have a clue either. oh well, they say end of next week, I'm still hopefull for delivery end of next week.

I'm picking mine up today and the site still says en route! Stupid site!
