I've put about a 1,000 miles on my factory LSD, quite an improvement even just aggressively street driving. I do notice the tires slipping easier off a hard start.

Swapped out my torn strut mounts, used monroes I bought from a member for $20. I've read nothing but bad reviews on them so I'll see how long they last.

Well it's been a while since I've made any progress as life has just been hectic. So I've got a new set of sumitimo tires after reading a lot of good reviews on them. Cost was only $286 shipped to my door, hard to beat that. Shocks and springs are next to be replaced, the fronts are totally shot.

Good to see some progress. New tires are always fun. What spring/shock combo are you going with?

Slapped my summer wheels on temporarily while I get my tires mounted to my feathers. Tire profile isn't correct but otherwise should look decent when lowered. Going with TSW springs for a moderate drop and undecided on the shocks yet.

TSWs with Koni yellows have my vote. They ride smooth and handles great.

Well my stock header broke at the cat, sounds like crap and has no power. Time for a Megan header and an angled o2 fitting. Hopeful that keeps the light from coming on. If not I'll be getting a cat welded in, stay tuned for sound videos.

@bavmotors: You should be fine, I had same pre cat breakage and replaced with an OBX header, no light + better performance so results were good. Good luck.

The pre cat seems to crack at a weld seam of the cone to the can, so it could be repaired if desired. I thought the header option would provide better results.

Yea I'll get it welded as a back up but I'm ready for a header anyways, I'd like a little more torque and sound.

Got a few parts in today, time to swap some parts out this weekend.
-front bilstein shocks
-Kyb strut mounts
- used oem header to replace my cracked header along with new gaskets
- all rear control arms that i received from a local member (in much better shape than mine)

So after a long day today, got the new bilsteins and mounts on, along with some whiteline end links, a rear wheel bearing and the replacement header. She's quiet and smooth as silk.

Mpgs have gone up since the pcv replacement!
My lower steering column took a sh*t, ordered a replacement, steering binds up and feels unsafe. Sprayed it with some lube like advised by others on the forum, it helped a little but it still needed a replacement. Hopefully the swap out won't be much of a pain.

The spray on the double joint buys some time. Its not too bad on the replacement. Take the front wheel off and go in under and at the side. A lift helps. Its will feel so much smoother when it's replaced, and tight.

Yea I'm hoping it's an easy swap, I've replaced enough on this car. I need a break from the constant part failures.

Wow that steering shaft u joint was seized up! I can hold the weight of the longer end up by the joint without it pivoting. Glad it wasn't the power steering pump.

Must have been bad from the salt and winter corrosion. I have seen them pretty nasty.

Must be, I'd strongly recommend to others to periodically grease the joint. It's pretty easy to access behind the wheel well cover. Mine went from slightly tighter, to very hard to steer within days.
