Oil Leak Question

I have a 2006 MCS, 64,000 miles and in the year I have owned it I have not had any mechanical issues.

I have a large oil leak on my floor after the car sits for a week during bad weather. The oil dipstick shows nothing has decreased and is marked full. When I look at the engine from the top and as much of each side of the engine that i can see ... no oil leaks anywhere.

I have not tried to crawl under the car due to outside temps ... not motivated yet.

Still I am wondering where the oil is coming from? I am not a mechanic but can perform basic maintenance and have a car that I love driving.

Where is the leak coming from? passenger side? drivers side? the middle? Towards the back of the engine bay or towards the front?

Passenger side, in the front just off center.

I'd check the hydraulic motor mount first. They tend to leak a lot when they fail. Feel around for oil at the bottom where it contacts the frame.

Could be the Crank Position Sensor (CPS) - they often leak. There are several threads describing the fix. The motor mount fluid is much thicker than oil.

Check your PS fluid level....
When it gets old, it can change color....and look a bit like engine oil....
If it is low...DO NOT USE REGULAR PS FLUID/TRANNY OIL...it is a special fluid...[QUOTE]

Thanks for the responses so far and the different possibilities. I need to find a heated garage to scope things out....otherwise the windchill temps are just too cold right now.
