How many of you are going to see the New Austin Powers movie, just get a look at the mini?

 

Here, here. I saw the preveiw for it. When's the relese date on it? Haven't been up to par on movies lately.
Bought the new Lighnting Speed Stick pitstik because I had a Ford Lightning. Do crazy chit like that all the time. Chalk it up to patriotism towards the vehicle of choice, or something.

 

I even ordered a custom Euro plate to put on the front of my MINI that says "GRRR BABY", YEAH!

Yeah- it's JULY 26th- my bad. I'm just so eager to see it in my MINI. It arrived at the dealership yesterday (3 days early)!!! Might be able to pick it up Monday evening! YYYYEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH BAAAAAAAABY!!!!

 

Does anybody know what kind of MINI Austin Powers will be driving in Goldmember (model, color combo, etc)? I haven't seen any imagery of the MINI in the movie yet.

 

I don't think they've released any details on the car beyond the fact that it will be used

 

I'll be going for sure, I guess it has a great chase scene involving the MIni

 

Sure I'll go see it but I will take the new mini to see it also. You have a good chance that it is on video when I get my new mini

 

you're thinking of the bourne identety...

 

I won't be going to Austin Powers, but definitely The Bourne Identity. #1 reason because i'm a Bourne on my grandfather's side and #2 because of that great classic mini they use throughout the film. Nothing takes stairs like a classic!

 

We're going to see the Bourne Identity because of the classic mini...and we'll see AP because of the new MINI...unfortunately, since I'll get my car much later, I'll be a part of the crowd that just pines for one after watching... Oh well...

 

I believe the MINI in the AP film has a Union Jack painted completely over the body. At least that's how it was in a picture I saw. I don't intend on sitting through another one of those films just to see a MINI though. :smile:

From what I've seen in pics and such, it looks like just a Cooper model, Indi blue, with a union jack over the whole car, (same as the older Jag in the 1st one)and I think the optional one on the roof. I could be wrong, but that's what my memory is serving, which was awhile back, so it may not be absolutely correct.
Gotta love Fat Bastard!! Even a better reason to see it. Freakin hilarious.

... after the movie comes out, just wait and see the line at the mini show rooms go longer.. I was actually able to get the license plate for my mini: "MIN1 ME" .. can wait to get it...

I actually went to see AP3 not knowing that the mini was in it! But when that mini popped up on the screen I flipped!! I practically yelled "THAT'S MY CAR!!" LOL Needless to say i got a few strange looks! Before I saw that movie I really wanted a Mini, but once I saw that car.........in action I wanted it even more!!! I've gotten to the point where I will not settle for anything else BUT a mini!

It was funny because that same day, after i had gotten home from the movie I saw some mail on the table... but I didn't pick it up.... My room mate said that one of the letters was from toyota..... and i thought he said that it was for me from toyota...... so i asked why they were sending it to me?! (being that there wouldn't be a reason for toyota to send me anything)...... and he jokingly said that it was telling me that i had won a brand new toyota.... so i said, i don't care..... i wouldn't take it...... and then my room mate told me i was full of it...... and i said, yeah... the truth is i'd trade it in for my brand new mini!
