WAY MOD Party!!! June 20th

WAY MOD Party!!! JUN 20 (JUN 21 if needed)

We're having a MOD Party featuring Waylen from WAY Motor Works!!! That's right, the man himself is coming to town and you don't want to miss this one! Couldn't make it out to AMVIV? Not going to MOTD?? Mark your calendars folks, this should be a good time!!

We'll be at Import Service Center in Glenview, IL for both days. We're having a BBQ, so come on out and enjoy the day with your MINI friends!!

If your interested in having any work done on your MINI, please contact Waylen to make sure he can do it for you. I've had him work on my MINI a couple of times and let me tell you... it's worth it.

Come on out to MOD or just to hang out and meet a few MINI friends or both .

Please post if you're coming out. Let me know if you have any questions.

This is going to be great. We have plenty of time to plan, and I'll be bringing my wrench Matt with to help out. We plan on doing pretty much ANY mod or repair you want since we will have a lift to work on. That will include control arm bushings as I know many people will need them. But the usual mods will be avail. pullies, intakes, exhaust, swaybars,Way ecu tunes, bushings, injectors, brakes and whatever else.

Please email me direct to get on the list at info@waymotorworks.com or call us 317.201.8670
Also we will be hard to get in contact the week of the Dragon Apr28th-May2nd, please be paitent.

miniguru-

how involved is it to remove the a/c system from the R53?

mine's been dead the last 2yrs+ (dealer could not fix after 4tries) i never use it so thought maybe remove the weight and burden off the crank... (?)

i have a alta CAI, milltek catback, 15% pulley on there right now... kinda have a taste to get the ECU tuned as well?

Remove the A/C system???

Heck we can prob fix it. But if you do want to remove it we have to replace the compressor with an idler pulley. Otherwise we'd just remove the Compressor, Condensor and the front lines. Everything else would be too expensive to bother removing.
I just got off the phone about the dyno, we will see what time they have for us on Friday.

if you can fix it that would be awesome. but there is a leak somewhere. my dealer changed the condenser, hoses, and some other bits, still leaks. i think it's leaking around the evaporator. would you be able to fix that do you think? lots of time to remove most of the dash just to get to it...right?

For anyone looking to just get their car dyno'd to see what kind of power it puts out the dyno will be available for the rest of the weekend. Wayland just won't be able to tune the car at the same time.

The plan is to tune on Friday, otherwise the dyno will only be for you to measure the power you have.

My new exhaust just arrived at the house. I cannot wait to have Way install it for me. Now the question is: where do you store a 4 and 1/2 foot high box for a month??

store it?? I'm curious to see how you're going to bring it to the party through the backseat and out the boot? I know you're not going to strap it to the roof! I'm still undecided about what I want to have done...

attending the mod party

Count me in - no mods to install, I figured this would be a good time to meet folks, and learn more about my mini. I've just installed my ddm CAI and am going to hook up my Megan exhaust this coming Sunday. Gonna motor to Albuquerque to visit my dad the first of June. I can't wait.

The schedule is filling, so if anyone else wants to get in let me know so I can bring one of the guys from the shop with.
And if you don't want something installed, but still want parts let me know. It's a great chance to get FREE shipping and a little advise when you pick em up. Heck alot of the parts I install for FREE.

I just got an email about this event today. I'm going to try to make it down for a day to say hey. I'll have to give some quick thought to anything I want to have done. I do need an oil change and perhaps a new belt. LOL!!! But, really, I'm thinking now...
