2006 MCS - Where's the horn located?

I just bought a MCS after owning 3 Miatas in a row. So now I am trying to do some mods to the Mini. I don't like the sound of the horn and want to change it but I am having a tough time finding it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Not sure if it is the same, but for the R56 they are in front of the passenger side (USA) front wheel.

There are two of them.

there are two on either side right next to the turn/parking lights. you have to take the bumper off to get to them.

Don't let that stop you. Taking the bumper off and re-installing it is about a 10 minute job. It's very easy to do!

Pretty simple....about 25 minutes once you have done it (10-12 each way,)....The first step in getting the car into "service" mode....gives you tons of room under the Hood....a girls guide to service mode is a good diy...

Think the link to the front bumper removal is a good one. Yep they are located behind the front bumper on each side. You can se them on the far right and left.

+1

I replaced both horns earlier this fall with Hella Supertones. Both OEM horns were toast, and get this, full of water.

Taking off the bumper makes for a much easier horn removal and install.

Placing the front of the car on jack stands and removing both front wheels makes it even easier. There are two bolts in each fron wheel well that need to be removed and that can be a little hard to reach with the front wheels in place, but it still can be done.
