in Palm Harbor (Ferman MINI) in FL. So here's the scoop. I'm buying my wife a MCS for her birthday (surprise!) in January of next year. So, I talked to the salesman (Aaron), unfortunately the dealers don't have the speciifcs on the 05 models... but apparently:

You can get color interior to match the exterior color
You can get color side mirrors
New colors (already seen on this website)
Perhaps the convertible with be with the MC and MCS at the same time (he didn't know, but I think he was pulling my leg).
The new instrument dash (as seen here).

Let me tell you, this was the first time I've ever sat in a MINI, and it was AWESOME! I didn't test drive it (I will this summer) but WOW I can't wait to buy my wife one!

Anyways, he said that they will have more information in the show rooms in July/August... and that's when I shoudl come back to look at the '05 models. Super nice guy.

Also! I did'nt know that MINI owners get free maintenance! He also mentioned that MINI is thinking of expanding it to 4 years instead of 3 (probably pulling my leg).

BTW, They had a super nice flat screen TV as well as an XBOX and a DVD player in teh showroom. COOL!

Are they quoting MSRP? Ferman Mini was charging a $1500 mandatory option package when the Mini first came out. What is their policy on placing an order? Any other pricing/ordering details would be great. I'm thinking about ordering at 05 MCS and would rather not drive to Orlando or Ft. Lauderdale to buy it.

Thanks,
Eric

Order from Crystal Neagle at Lauderdale MINI in Ft Lauderdale, FL. She is my Motoring Advisor and have bought 2 brand new factory ordered MINIs from her. Best dealer in South Florida, strict MSRP pricing and no BS. Absolutely worth the trip.

I didn't talk numbers or $ with the guy, since i want an '05 MCS and its fair that he doesn't know how much the options will be or base price or whatever, so in july i will contact him (and definately post here). I want MSRP and taxes/tags... I am not going to pay for anything else. I will contact other dealers as well.

So the scheduled maintenance is not free? Is it a "dealer" option or something? Or it is just melded into the MSRP?

Hi Doc,
like cooper4us said lauderdale mini is probably the best in florida and what pocketrocketowner means is that the free maintenance is not really free because its included in the MSRP of the car

Nope. At this point, its kind of useless sinec the 05 pricing hasn't even been established. I plan on contacting them with the options I want (not sure of color yet), but so far I want bonnet stripes, sport package, and premium package... +/- on the leather seating. I'll probably lean towards the MCS. I will just tell them I will pay MSRP plus tax/title/tag, that's IT! I will let you all know how it happens... but I probably wont' do this until July or August when the 05 pricing is out.

Just got an email from the MINI dealer in Palm Harbor... they are telling me of the $399 dealer fee. I am going to contact the dealer in Orlando and see if they charge this. I only want to pay MSRP...

Keep an eye out for Mini of the Hamptons, they put together packages and ship round the country for a small fee.

Was anything included in the dealer fee or is that just some BS charge? Did you ask if they were willing to waive it? I've heard Orlando Mini has manadatory $1500 accessory fee. Look foward to hearing what they say.

Make the drive to Ft lauderdale and pay MSRP with no BS mandatory accessory packages. Well worth the trip. Lauderdale MINI is the #1 deale rin Florida for customer satisfaction.

See Crystal Neagle and tell her I am sending you as a referral to her.

Disclaimer: I don't work for them, I am just a satisfied Lauderdale MINI customer that has purchased 2 brand new custom ordered MINIs from them in the last 2 years.
If you want to read more testimonies about Lauderdale MINI's top notch treatment, go to http://www.sunshineminis.org and also read about them right here in the "Dealer Rating System" section.

I bought Mrs. Peel (my '03 Cooper) from Crystal and she was terrific!
I had Mrs. Peel shipped from Lauderdale in a closed truck. I used a company
called Exotic and they gave her white glove treatment. It only cost $310 and saved
me a trip from Tampa and back. At the time I bought, Ferman was charging
$2500 over the sticker.

I will probably email him in July about trying to waive that fee, or atleast drop the MSRP on the car $399 so atleast there isn't an extra fee. I might email Orlando and see what they have, and after that try Ft. Laudy.
