I hit a big deer:(
I thought I would share my misery...last night I hit a 10 point whitetail buck with my '03 MCS 60k mi. I'm ok but both Xenon's, hood, SC inlet, bumper, windshield, and possibly fenders were not so lucky. Now I get to see how good an insurance company Geico is at handling claims, I get an estimate for the damage Monday. I priced some of the parts and good lord they are expensive! I'm hoping they don't total it out, the book value is only around 10.5k and this has to be 5-6k worth or repairs and paint.
Sorry the pics are in bad light and don't really do the damage justice.

That stinks.
A woman ran into a deer this July on her way to "Minis on the Mack" All of the participants donated to cover her deductible. She shared what the total cost of the repairs were on the FB page for the event, but I can't remember what it was...but it was a lot.
Ouch....
Good thing the mini won. As long as the bumper was not crushed in a way that the airbags deployed, you have a fighting chance of it not getting totaled out....only thing that sucks with mini is lead time on parts....body shop told me what is a 2 day repair on a Honda/Toyota is a one week repair on a mini due to parts situation with mini shipping parts....taking 4 days on average instead of same/next day....so I hope you have rental coverage.

Well if they do total it get as much out of them as you can, buy the car back, and repair it. I bet you can get all of the parts you need used for a pretty good price and have it all painted to match for a good price.

I finally got an estimate from the body shop for about $4000 USD to repair the damage. I do have one question..the tech asked me I the mini had the aero package option, how can I tell? I have the sport package, is it the same?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
you don't have it but I just got the front end of mine done and it only cost me 300.00 more to get it done. That was for the grills and the difference in what the insurance company would pay to replace the OEM bumper cover
