Most of time time from what I have seen and heard is it is the front drivers side sensor. They are not to expensive so you should be OK.

went to that shop today and they were absolutly useless. the only good thing they did was clear the airbag light i had.

the guy told me that every systme in the car has a problem/code and it would take hours to diagnos what it was.... which i think is complete bullsh*t. also treated me like a complete idiot as well. i didnt even want to begine to tell him whats up as not to start an argument so i just said thanks and left.

im gonna try one more shop before i go to the dealer. hopefull they can tell me something.

anyone think a bad alignment would cause these lights to go off? i just started to notice some excessive tire ware on the outside shoulder of my front driver side tire.

and would a bad battery do this? my ultragage at idle says like 13.xx volts and even when im flooring it dost hit 14 at all with engine off and using a multimeter at the jumper areas in the engine bay i get like high 12 to low 13's same at battery i thought when driving your supposed to have like 14.xx volts????

Alignment? Doubtful. Battery? absolutely it can cause funny things to happen. Driving you should see 13.volts and up to about 15volts. I average about 13.7 volts and 14.3 driving on my Scangauge. How old is your battery?

i have no idea how old my battery is. any markings on it i should look for? date stamp? i could try a spare battery i have and see i that helps anything.

but yea i only ever see it siting in the 13's and it will occasionally hit 14, and today its like my mirrors had a mind of their own. they were moving by them selves every time i went to change lanes or look at them they were in a different position.

There should be a date code on it. IMO sounds like you have a battery issue. Double check your connections front and rear and the connections on the alternator since you did all that work.

ok, will check connections but i never touche the alternator. ill clean up the battery posts too just encase they are corroded.... now thinking about it i did have hard time when i hooked the battery back up, the negative pole was corroded and i was getting no power i cleaned it off a bit, and power got to the car.

just check voltage at the battery

off = 12.8v
idle = 13.6v
driving = 13.9-14.5v with ultra gauge

This all sound normal. It just might be a bad sensor.

I could see it possible being an alignment issue if one of your tires is worn significantly more than the others since it would spinning at a different speed than the rest of the tires.

I know when I put my snow tires on the front of my car which are slightly taller than the rears my DSC, ABS, and Tire lights came on a lot. Not sure if it's a faulty sensor or that though since I haven't switched back to my normal wheels and tires yet.

seems kinda crazy yuo wold pay 300 for a cable and free software seems to me it would be the other way around.
