He showed me a trick, if you have a couple of ten mm bolts cut the head's off and use them in the two outermost bolt holes to align/hold the gasket in place, while your putting on the header. made life very easy since, the header is an awkward fit..
Could have used this info when I reinstalled my header. Good to know though

well good news is i think the bolt holes will line up with the ones on my head... i think i may slot the bottom middle two like the gasket just in case i need the room.

as for the ports i am undecided yet it i will grind it to a circle to match the runners. or match it to the gasket. i feel like i have some research to do and to ask the opinion of people who know better. i have a feeling it will not matter but its better to ask, measuer twice cut once right hahahahah

another update....

i put the stock injectors back in... my mpg was so bad i was at 21mpg and during cold start it would be real hard to drive until the car warmed up. then it was fine. other wise it was super rich at idle and at WOT. you could smell it was pretty smelly. at least i know they work and when i get the rest of my exhaust in ill put those guys in and get a tune.

also i can feel the lack in power at wot and in the higher rpm range like 4.5 to 7 it feels less beefy. below that its ok

i was to lazy to go get new orings, so i used the ones off my 380s. The ones on my stock injectors were torn.

so after a long awaited drop off i finally got my injector adapters in ( USPS fault)

pretty fancy, maybe these will work better than the other ones i had. which were a little loose.

Loose? do you think that was why you were getting miss-fire's?

yes, im willing to bet it was those adapters. they were a bit loose. after loading them up with dielectric grease the didnt wiggle as much and they went away except for one cylinder would literally miss once in a blue moon, but it would always be at the most inopportune times.

so i finaly got around to open up those ports tonight. looks like the runners and or flange are a bit off. I may grind down those small areas where the black marker is still. but beveled because im already grinding into the runner side wall i don't want to go more. and it still needs a bit of cleaning up

Also i maybe picking up a new project car soon. so this car will probably go on hold. money i was going to use on ceramic coating, cat-back, tune, and a catalytic converter will go into buy a car to turn into a race car.

UPDATE!!!

Sold my header to a friend i just did not want to have put it in, im feeling way to lazy.

New things i bought, and waiting for them to come in.

-EBC Red Stuff Pads all around
-New Oem wipers for the front and rear
-a brake power bleeder
-a liter of power steering fluid. im running dangerously low. im glad i caught it.
- a new gates belt tensioner assembly off of amazon
- a belt tool

Things to be bought but need some $$$$ and that should be it for this car!

- Alta cat-back
- Slotted rotors, my oem rotors are pretty done, the ebc green stuff pads chewed right through them.
- Tune
- Rear sway bar.

also PSA make sure to check your brakes. my rear brakes were seized again and were probably dragging all winter long. only saw it because i change to my summer tires all ready.

i have a feeling it was beacuse of the "brake stiffeners" i have had them seize up alot. so i just put in the OEM rubber slider holder things back in. now to just sit and wait to see if they seize again. i dont think so though. i have never had a problem with the front brakes so i left those in. and i put in a spare set of pads i had when i first bought the car and change over to the ebc green stuff pads.

there is like a 1/16 left of material left on that pad. both sides are cracked chipping away and or falling apart.

Murphy's Law never ceases to amaze me.

my Exhaust system fell of its hangers. and cracked the down pipe area after the collector on the header. and i don't have a another header to fix it with because i sold my Megan header to a buddy. So I ordered a OBX header and a Maganflow Cat those will hopefully be in soon. in the mean time because the crack was getting bigger. i used a bunch a patching kits to hold it over for now. it worked great on monday but today not so much looks like it probably broke free a bit. so when its cold the patch will leak but when hot it wont.

I also have EBC pads which are good for autox, but are a bit lacking for daily driving, I've tried hawks too, but stoptech have been my favorite so far. I will be borrowing some steering fluid though :-D. Can't wiat for the spring show

I'd care to see how you mount the fire extinguisher. I bought one too, but I'm so hesitant to just drill self tapping screws into stuff.

at the moment it is smooshed behind the passenger seat and rear passenger foot area.

You'll love you Motive bleeder, I have the same I bought a fire extinguisher too this week Seeing the list of cars that burned down on here... as well as assisting a guy whose car was burning on the side of the highway (calling 911 as I didn't had a fire extinguisher...)

As for mounting, a lot of people use a custom bracket so it's bolted on the passenger seat frame.

yea i cant wait to use it i think i still have a bubble some where in the system. and i want to bleed the clutch line and im sure this will make it 1 million times easier.

i was considering the passenger seat mount but I'm worried about leg room/ leg foot position for the other person it might be awkward.

My primary concern was placing it somewhere that it could be grabbed while exiting the vehicle and the passenger seat is just not optimal for that. Also is the obvious mounting it away from air bags and in the way during regular use.

The seat option is also the most expensive by comparison:
http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...ni_cooper.html

I liked the idea of mounting it in the trunk, but then again I don't like the idea of my access to the fire extinguisher being reliant on the car having power for the electric hatch release.

There is also the DIY option I found here, but it's again under the passenger seat

well the exhaust is completely broke now, it lasted a good 3 days with the patch.... that patch wont hold the whole system up the middle hanger was broken and its being held up by one in the rear and the cross brace in the middle.

on the way to work this morning (6am) on the highway it was nice and quite then all of a sudden AAAAAAAHAAHHHHHHHHHH... and i new what happened

so i now have a Alta cat-back that i ordered and am waiting on the obx header and cat thats in the mail.

Let me get this straight. You sold your new header then, a week later the stock header broke? What are the chances of that? Thats some quantum string theory type of nuttiness...
