I'm going to guess you ordered a pulley, plugs, and new belt

I may have been wrong, but damn that's a sweet piece. Makes me wish I would've spent a little more over my Alta, but I love how loud mine is.

I've been waiting to see what you got. It does look nice.
I would not have painted it either. Looks really sharp.

Nice choice on the DDMworks CAI.

I did that just a few weeks ago on my MINI, and I love the added whine of the supercharger. The car feels like it has more punch to it as a result along with my Stratmosphere exhaust. The added sound of the throttle body is nice too, although it took a little bit to get used to.

yup i love it... the whistle at partial throttle is going to take some getting use to, and i love the induction noise when the TB first opens and when it closes.

Some folks noticed this with the Dinian CAI...
I NEVER had it...till I replaced the Dinian filter with a K&N, both fabric....I have found it seems to go away once the filter gets SLIGHTLY dirty...or maybe I'm just not bothered by it anymore!!
Just for extra info..the Dinian stock filter is OVAL, the K&N I used is round...might have something to do with it...did find WMW had a custom OVAL filter made that is the same shape as the Dinian stock...but was too late!! LOL.
The reason WHY I mention this is if the whistle gets too annoying, you might try a switch in filters..from FOAM to Fabric or vise-versa...heck...seems just a shape change in a fabric filter gave mine a slight induction whistle sometimes at partial throttle!!

spend the evening making this air diverter, should work the same as the more expensive brand. and because its thin and flexy it will have more mounting points.

i am going to install it tomorrow because i have sprayed it with plasti-dip and layed it on thick. so total for this project $0.00 sheet aluminum was freee and i had left over plasti-dip from somthing else. all it cost was time.

the plasti-dip dried faster than i thought and put in on just in time before it started to rain.

i think im gonna go find som kind of rubber liner to put around the front just in case. might look better too.

i also think im gonna paint on a the mini wings logo on it, or "cooper s", or "super cooper"

and dont worry i put the nuts back onto the rad support. the diverter is down tight it doesnt move no vibrations when driving. doute i will see s difference bu i will monitor what i can to see anything different.

sure i could measure it but all i did was, measure the length between the two aluminum uprights. its 33 3/8 long, then just cut and fit over and over again till i got the shape i wanted.

I feel like some actual oil based paint will hold up better, especially with the heat. A Flat black can is like $10.

there isn't any heat there anyway. its just to deflect air some where else.

Will the fabric go under the places where the plastics overlap and bolt together? Maybe it could damp out rattles, vibrations and such.

Can't wait to see how it turns out. Thanks a ton for all the posts you make,... They really help us new guys trying to become more fluent in MINI.
