Hello everybody,

I'm glad I found this place.

I've wanted a Mini S for a long, long time. 2 weeks ago I convinced my wife to go with me for a test drive. She fell in love right away (very important) and we bought it. We're trading in our 1997 Integra GSR. We live in the city so I dropped the sport package and got everything in it except the wheels. I figured the 16" wheels would be better on these streets. I hope I'm right.

It took us a while to decide on colors. We settled on Silver and black. I've changed my mind everyday since then. One day it's red and white (or maybe black?) and another day it's black and white and then back to silver. It better arrive soon or I'll go nuts.

Welcome Skycat! All of us doubted our choices, and
all defend them after the car arrives-- point is: You
really can't go wrong. (Of course, DS is... the fastest
color.)

Good wheel choice, in my opinion.

Godspeed.

I couldn't decide on the color either... do what I just did... order another one in a different color

Honestly though... no matter what color you decide on, you will love it!

i changed colors 3 times myself (started indie Blue, then black, then finnaly, brg and black) go to the website MINIusa.com and build it and just stare at the color combos that you like best, see if that helps. it did for me.

Photographs from galleries helped me decide. People take some great pictures of their cars!

Thanks all,

I know when I see our MCS we will love it. I wonder if there is a point before which you can change the colors? I'll call and ask. Then the can of worms really gets opened. I think my car is "on order" so it's early in the process. It's a long waiting game - isn't it. From reading the posts here it seems that the waiting becomes integral to the whole Mini experience. The marketing guys do a brilliant job bringing our Minis to life.

Any thoughts on how much of a perfomance hit you take switching from 17" to 16" tires?

You'll actually see some performace benefits over the 17" because of the lighter weight of the wheels.

Dark silver with a white roof. I still think I like the look of a black roof to blend with the sunroof. I would then have black bonet strips to complete the new look.
