R50/53 mini in an ad, has a v6!!!
well not really. its an ad for engine oil and it starts with a key being inserted into the ignition which is a minis. i could tell from the key shape alone. then its shows a quick shot of the tach and shift **** with the 6 speed and also an engine running. its not a mini engine though, they just put the clips together to look like it was all the same car. i think its castrol gtx, makes sense if it was because bmw and castrol have a partnership thing (bmw recommends castrol)
Oh the weirdness of corporate sponsorship.
Yes, parts of a MINI are featured in this Castrol GTX commercial (which is a mineral based oil, not synthetic), along with a still-unknown V-6 engine.
The only part of the commercial I find misleading is that it is NOT recommended you put non-synthetic oil in your MINI, despite the association the commercial shows.

So much for truth in advertising. There is an annoyingly misleading ad on TV now in Indianapolis, for Central Indiana Honda Dealers. It alludes to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Indy 500, and shows a Honda on a hig banked oval. Problem is, that it is quite obvious that it isn't the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
