A lot

My 06' r53 just turned 163,000 today. I've had it since it read 17 miles on the clock. Put a 15% pulley at 70k then a 17% at 120k plus Way did a ecm flash when I did the last pulley. Still on the stock supercharger which is amazing because it was out of oil the first time I checked it at 80k which include the pyramid pile of gear dust below. The gears had the sweet wear grove in them from running with no oil. I cleaned everything up, put it back together with new oil and its been running like a champ since. Topped off the supercharger oil at 130k. Lets just say that I'm a spirited driver too.

The Pea turned over 100,000 miles mark while I was out of town.
Picked it up with 9 miles on 2/24/06 and other than LCA and motor mounts it's been completely bullet proof. Much better than I expected to be honest.
Probably going to be replacing it next spring / summer. Bittersweet. Still enjoy it tremendously.

Little by little. Was cranking them out until I started working from home...should have waited a couple months.

When she hits 200k I'll treat her to some maintenance (supercharger oil at the top of the list)...heck, might even give her a splash of super unleaded as a special treat!

Why don't you run super unleaded normally? It's what the S's require.

Never wanted to waste the money and mine hasn't required it...yet, anyway. I run it if I want the little extra snap off the line, such as if I'm doing a rally, but for the other 99.99% of the time I just use regular. Some day I'm going to start a thread on how tough my car has been...

Typically when running lower octane fuel performance and MPG suffers as DME tweaks back the timing to avoid pre-ignition ( Ping ) and doesn't get all of it since some the remaining damaging pre-ignition is undetectable to human ear.

Not too worried about damaging pre-ignition - at 200k miles the damage couldn't have been that bad (even if it blows up tomorrow I feel like I've had a good run of it). But I would love to calc out the MPG with/without super and see...

My mileage has held pretty steady around 27mpg since bringing it home. Even at 115k miles when I did my first air filter it didn't change.

milage

My 2004 JCW has 4875 total miles as of this date. Red with checkerboard top.
as issued except for front brace between the towers and better breathing air system hidden in a shelled stock can. still passed Cal smog (runs cleaner than the orginal system.)

Damn, how do you drive that little? I had about 1/3 of your milage before mine even saw my driveway, and more than that within the first month and a half.
