Wondering when/if I'll catch up to the high milage guys. 700 miles in 10 days is about average for me.

Congratulations! But only 120? C'mon, man, you've had over 48 hours!

LOL! It has been a busy 48 hours. I'll make up for it in a few weeks when I put about 1,000 vacation miles on it.

It's interesting that you mention "same clutch." From what I've gathered through NAM threads (and others), clutches are a bit of an Achilles heel for MINI. Still, I have the same clutch at 91,500. Actually, in all the years I've owned manual transmission cars, only one has ever needed a clutch replacement. And that goes back to my first car, a '65 Mustang, purchased in '67. There has virtually always been at least one stick-shift car in our garage, ranging from the aforementioned Mustang through a couple of Fiats, SAAB Sonett, BMW 325i, and the MINI. Plus the one that actually did have some trouble, a '64 Porsche. That clutch was replaced many years ago--we stil have the car--and I don't remember why it was the single car that needed one. The BMW was the car immediately preceding the MINI, and was at 190,000 miles (13 years) when I purchased the MINI...same everything except for tires, radiator, headlights, and brake replacement.

And no, I don't coddle them. Just about all of these cars were autocrossed, and were driven an average of 15,000 miles per year...rapidly.

My 2002 Cooper just turned 178,000 yesterday. The only work I've had to do was a new clutch, cooling fan, and some kind of bearing. What should I expect to have to replace next?
