Did an oil change today and was half a quart low after 8000 miles - didn't have time to do it earlier.
I do read my oil weekly and never noticed a difference.
Was very impressed at the lack of loss.
Also, coolant is staying full.
Next on my list is a trans fluid change, I will probably take it out to a shop to have them do this as I never have and not like I need to do it frequently enough to learn yet. ;-)
I plan on using a shop called M Service in Walnut Creek, CA.
Does anyone have experience with this shop or have heard of them at all? They started as BMW only and have expanded to Audi and Mercedes with their most recent training being MINI's...
Almost made 300,000 on the original clutch but T/O bearing blew at 296K. Also installed a new fuel pump last week to take it over the 300K mark. And, I see the light, new brakes tomorrow.
190k on mine. My fuel pump went a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I swaped out the supercharger to a low miles unit. The lube was gone. Gears show wear. I'll clean it up and lube it as a spair.
