R50/53 Total miles your MINI has right now
I was psyched to see such high mileage Coopers out there. I don't have the most miles in the thread but maybe the most per year. On my drive to the gym tomorrow morning, I will eclipse 165,000 miles on my 09 Clubman. Car runs like a top minus the small amount of white smoke that just began coming from under the bonnet this afternoon. Temps locally just got to 50 degrees and have significant snow melt...thinking may have drove through a puddle as the smell didn't last very long...here's to hoping she gets to 200k
I'm sitting at 242,000 right now on my '04 R50. I just replaced my original Midlands tranny. It was still going, but it didn't have long left. I'm happy with that kind of run with all the bad luck other Midlands drivers have had.
Wow! 300k! Congratulations
And in Bishop no less. Closest dealer is what, 2.5 / 3 hours away? That would mean there can't be that many MINIs in town and yours still stands out. Very cool.

Haha, yeah when I got it it was the first one on the county. I got pulled over just so the cop could look at it. The closest dealer is only 3.5 hours away now, in 2003 the closest was about 5 hours. It's ok though, it's only been back to the dealer twice, once for its first scheduled maintenance, and the second for a recall.

I have a 2006 MCS. Everything has been great so far. I have been dripping some oil. Found out I have a small leak. They are thinking oil pan gasket or crank seal, also there is residue around the thermostat and stage 1 fan is not working. And of course, control arm bushing has a small crack and the engine mount showing wear. Didn't you have these fixed? It seems these are common. I am trying to figure out if I should just wait based upon other's experiences.

2003 with 80,000 miles on it
Have replaced:
Lower control arm bushings
Power steering pump
Upper strut tower mounts
Front struts
Tires
Battery
Brakes all 4 corners
Transmission fluid with redline MTL
Gas cap to correct a check engine light
Runs like a champ..since I bought it with 67k on the clock...and drive it home from Los Angeles to NYC.

2002 R53 with 138K miles all original except for all the mods i just did when i got it. and its all still perfect except till the gear fork broke in the trans so out came the trans and in went a used with 52k and a new clutch.
im surprised the TO bearing was still ok and the clutch probably had another 20k miles on it til it needed to be changed
