Nothing major. 1 clutch replacement, 1 brake pad replacement, alternator, H/K amp, PS pump, 1 wheel bearing, 2 RF axles (cheap FEQ replacement caused the 2nd axle to be installed). I think that is about it, and most of that is just regular maintenance. I do have to add that I am on my original Midlands tranny also (maybe I shouldn't have said that)...

I'm impressed. My (preowned) MINI is at 67k and I replaced the PS pump after 2 weeks of owning. And currently is at the mechanic getting its midlands fixed + a new clutch (been there 3 weeks and I'm getting antsy!). You'll have to share your secret of longevity with us.

You've only replaced your brake pads once in 200K!?? How is that possible?

Lots of highway miles and downshifting. I'm replacing the original rotors on Wednesday. Since I have white wheels, I use PBR low dust pads. I think they are low dust because of minimal stopping power.
Just switched to ceramics from Advance Auto, yea, I know, no name cachet but they are great. Almost no dust, and what does generate is light grey, very good feel (not the overboosted bite the stockers had) and they were priced well, like $55. I dont skimp on brakes. Previous owner did slotteds/cross drilleds already so I am "out motorin". Lets drive ................

I thought the Midlands went away in 2003, was it present through '04 then?
