Man, how big is that thing? At first glance I thought it was a full sized MINI. Then I noticed the antenna in the front and took a second look.

Be sure to take some side by side pics when your "bigger" MINI arrives this week

Look at those mud splashes-they are facing the direction of lots of fast reversing!
Great photo. Needs a mouse next to it for size comparison-or something else small enough to give scale.
Trick us with a very small orange cone!

Or maybe a photo with the MINI in your hands.

Yep, it's the Toys'R'us model. It's almost 2 feet long and is very cool. Bit of irony in the color choice, I wanted to order CHilli-red/white, but my wife insisted I went Indy-Blue/White. Also the model has a US flag on the roof, mine will have a cooperflags Union Jack (already arrived, and sitting in my garage waiting for the car).

It runs ok, the throttle and steering are both digital, not proportional, i.e. left, center, right. Forward, neutral, reverse (hence the backwards mud splashes for breaking). That said it's still a real blast to tool around with in the street (way too big for driving inside the house).

Yep, doors, bonnet and boot all open. All pretty realistic inside. Downside of the doors opening is if you catch a flyer off a curb the doors tend to fly open.

I have one, I think it's actually 1:6 scale. I bought one in CR/W with Union Jack the day before I ordered my '04 CR/W MC with Union Jack...I saw it at Toys R Us and bought it because it seemed like a good omen...lol

whoa, you have a safety issue there with your stuffed animals driving the
car while flying out the door.

I would suggest a tiny piece of 3M trim mounting tape (double stick tape) and pinch
it between the door and door jam. Should keep it closed until you want to
open it. The mounting tape should last a good while.
