R50/53 driving in the rain
I live in Texas, and I honestly believe we have the worst drivers in the country, if not the world. If it's anything but hotter than hades (which is usually quite often here) then people have a fit trying to drive. We can be experiencing torrential downpours and people will by flying down the hwy's at like 90, like nothings different. And heaven forbid it snows even the slightest. If anything ices up, ooooooh boy, my city (as well as the surrounding ones) practically shut down. Snow is like the anti-christ when it comes to driving, you'd act like people don't understand the concept of just slowing down and driving like a sane person. But even without rain or snow, it still doesn't stop 85% of these people from being ignorant drivers. AHHHH it just angers me talking about it! LoL.

>>Are you sure you are not talking about South Florida, but without the snow.
Lazcando, I think Florida in general must be what he's talking about. Cuz it sounds just like around here!!

at least they keep moving...here in SoCal, as soon as it even looks like it is going to rain, all the TV stations start with their 'storm watch' coverage and everybody comes to a complete stop, except for the really stupid people who dodge in and out of traffic until they finally spin out of control and put it in the guard rails on the other side of the freeway, causing all lanes of traffic to be closed for the remainder of the day while they bring in the helicopters, cranes and national guard to clean up the mess...not that it bothers me or anything

Try Memphis! They have done a study and at the mention of rain (and lets not even talk about snow) and the accident rate (already high) increases by 20%. You can tell who is from out of town (they use turn signals) and remember to count to 10 after your light turns green or chance the person running the red light slam into you. No wonder the insurance rates are so high, they have to make up for the 30% running around without any!
The drivers here in the Nashville area act as if they are charged extra if they use turn signals. Sort of the "I know where I'm going, up to you to figure it out" mentality. Well at least I can out manuver them now. Red/Red MCS "let the dog eat"
