R50/53 Awaiting Transport
Yeeehaaa!!!!
Sorry, just had to share with folks who'll understand. The owners lounge told me today that my li'l ole mini is now awaiting transportation. 2 or 3 weeks for her to get to Mini of the Hamptons, then another 3 or so weeks to get to me in Los Angeles, and I can give my friend mack his 1972 Bettle that I'm borrowing since I sold my BMW.

Just clarifying what I understand from your post. You ordered from MoH and then they are shipping it to LA? Because, if you ordered it from a dealer in LA, it would come into a port in CA.
Either way, congrats.

Yeah, my status changed today to "Awaiting Transport". I will have to pick mine up from an Oregon dealer. Anybody have an estimate on how long that takes? Also, how do you find out what ship it has been put on?
Thanks all.
Thanks all.
I'm not sure about your questions, but my MINI just started prodution today, well ahead of schedule. I understand your excitment!! It's been a long road waiting for this car. In month or so, the wait will be over.

Mine is also "awaiting transport". My car was built last Thursday. According to askmini, they said "sometimes it can take between a day or two to upwards of a month" before it get's on a boat. I don't need the car until Jan, but a MONTH???
I tried the link above, no dice  which are a bit easier, in some respects. This is also shipping thru Maersk.

It can take up to a week or more to get your MINI into the WW Cargo Tracking System, http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/Tool...king/index.jsp
once it is completed. My first MCS was in their system about two days after the production date, and arrived at the dealer (Classic in Ohio) the day after it showed up as docking in NY. My wife's MCS took about a week to 10 days to show up in the WW system. In fact, all the status' were entered on the same day that it showed as "Awaiting Transport" "Loaded" and the ship setting sail. Go figure.
Be patient, and keep plugging your VIN# into the WW system. It will show up, then check the Voyage for the ship it's on to see the sailing/port schedule.

Sorry for the delayed response m3ster. Yes I ordered from MoH, I was not prepared to be royally shafted by the LA area dealers, the best of which was prepared to generously sell me a car at $3500 over MSRP. The extra 2 or 3 weeks wait for MoH to get the car across the country to me is fine.
I'm now En Route, looks like its a couple of weeks ahead of schedule.
