R50/53 What's your mileage at the second service interval???
MC & MCS have been out for a while now and folks should be coming up on their second service interval - just wondering how many miles on your odometer.
I'm @ 27K with 7K still remaining on my service clock...at this rate I'll pass 36K before the second service is due??

- Coolant Expansion Tank #3 Installed
- Front brake discs and pads replaced under warranty for excessive wear.
- BMW 325i Loaner
Anyone know if Randy Webb has had his second service yet? I bet the mileage on that is going to be very low. Maybe around 14k?
(total guess based on how much that car has been track driven)

I had my second service @ 20k. This is primarily because I swear up, down and sideways that I was told, upon taking delivery, that the service intervals were EVERY 10K. I called the dealership to make sure and they said yes, EVERY 10K. Service department did it for me, no problems, but when I got the work ticket back it was listed as 25k service.
I was also told that services will be performed at the appropriate intervals regardless of what the OBC tells you.
But then, my dealer (or, more accurately, the service department therein) has told me lots of stuff that is only tenuously rooted in reality...

Now that confuses me. Toast, were you charged for that 20k service? Because the next scheduled service, after the 10k one, is supposed to be at 25k miles. If you weren't charged for the 20k service maybe it could be because of some other complaint/problem you were having (stumble, etc.)?
By the way, how did your stumble appointment go today? Hope it's gone after v36.

Thanks for the replies - I swear my computer is screwed up - took a 4 hr trip last week, covered ~220 miles (some 2-lane, some highway) and my miles to service dropped 10 miles - sound like something's wrong?
No, no OBC - I've just keep track of miles-to-service versus how many miles are rolling by on the odometer. Maybe I'll call the dealer to see what they say

Haven't gotten my car back yet--my dealerhsip doesn't have the CD, and didn't know when they could expect it, so they sent toe ECU to Jersey. Supposedly, I'll have it back today....
