Can anyone tell me a good place to find vinyl/stick-on meatballs? All I have been able to find are static cling or magnetic. I have a friend who just ordered his Mini Cooper and really wants these-thought they would make a great Christmas present. Thanks!

Two places I would recommend...

SoloRacer.com - they are one of the sponsors of the site and I should be able to make whatever you want up for you

www.signedge.com - they can do anything custom you want. They are doing our upcoming NAM decals (available this week) and have done lots of custom magnetic and vinyl work for race teams in the area.

Hope this helps! Let both know that you heard about them on North American Motoring.

Best regards,

Mark

I think IKEA is one of the few great design stores for the masses. I used to shop there all the time when I lived in Belgium. Now I have to drive to either Chicago or Pittsburgh (5 hrs. each - one way) to get my IKEA fix. Hurry up and go national folks, I hate driving a truck all day just to visit!

We have an IKEA here in Houston, and they are building a brand new one right next door to it too!

I think the Meatballs look sweeeeeeeeet! Check out my MC.

But these are static cling. I prefer static cling over magnetic. In fact, I recently had my car detailed and had a tough time removing the static cling because they were held on so tight. I used soapy water to apply and squeegy and let it sit for 24 hours before driving.

Yeah, Octane guy. I've been admiring posts of your car for quite awhile. Verrrry Cool. I really like the centered bonnet strip too. I it permanent or Klingon too?

Thanks Belmontman & Inioway!

Only the meatball is removable (static cling). The rest are 3M Vinyl. It took 2 days and many many tries to get the center stripe to conform to the bulge. I didn't want them to remove the badge, so they cut around it. It's not perfect, but standing from a few feet away, it's not noticeable (the cut marks).

See the 2 days of install here:
