YEAH!! - I have been told by my dealer that my MCS will be built in October and delivered in November!

(Being in Canada, I don't have access to an Owner's Lounge - therefore I can't really track My Sharona's (LY/B) build progress).

However, I'd like to compare progress with those of you that are also waiting for a November delivery.

I'm forming the "Can't Wait For November Club" thread. Whose with me?

Waiting for delivery of our passion SUCKS! It would be comforting, I'm sure, to all of us Novemberites if we knew how each other's MCs and MCSs were doing.

So - add to this thread anytime you have any information about October builds and/or November deliveries. Let's see who's the first to say "I've taken delivery - I'm out of the Club"!!

 

hey. My DS/white with strips and driving lights MCS is planned for a October 25 production which would make it, hopefully, a November delivery. I live in Rome, GA and order my MINI from Hank Aaron BMW. It is a great dealership. I paid MSRP. Motor On. :smile:

 

I ordered my MCS from the Mini dealership in Richmond, VA. My build date is October 18 so I'm guessing I'll get it around Novermber 18th. I can't wait. I've been waiting since April. :evil:

Mine is light silver w/ black roof and black bonnet stripes. I got all three packages. I'm anxiously waiting. I hope I get to quit the club early. I haven't ordered the rally lights, but I may add them. I believe they are "dealer installed" options.

I've checked my order status in the Owner's Lounge a few times, but it doesn't change so I haven't been in a while.

 

I'm in the club....my original production date was sep 27th, but i got bumped back to oct 11...and i don't know why, neither does my dealer....hopefully it will arrive in november

You guys seem to have had to order your MINIs fairly early. I think Canada gets a few more vehicles per capita than the States, for some reason.

I placed my order a week ago with MINI Woodbridge (outskirts of Toronto and affiliated with a BMW dealership). I had the production number and estimated November delivery this week. There are LOTS of 2002 MCs and a few MCSs sitting on dealer lots in Toronto.

Today I saw a car carrier transport truck carrying about a dozen MINIs to Downtown MINI in Toronto. I imagine they were the last of the '02s arriving, however, I did see from a distance that some of them were a "beige" colour of somesort. We've heard rumours of some '03s coming in "gold" - so maybe that's what I saw.

Nevertheless, none of them were mine - so I'm still in The Club!!!

 

I was originally a November. I ordered in late June, the 27 I believe, and about a week later the rep called from Mini of Nashville to say that by build date had been moved up because the factory increased their monthly allotment of cars. I picked my Red/Red MCS Sept. 14th. The wait was becomming unbearable.

 

i'm in i order my mcs ps/blk roof and stirpes lapis blue interior and the prem and sport pkgs and i put the driving light on there too about three weeks ago and have been driving all who talk to me carzy ever since. my production date is the 25oct02 and the dealer said it should be here in nov some time. and i am very bad at waiting luckly the dealer is 150 miles away or i think i would have to settle for something on the lot but since i cant just pop in i think i will be able to hold out.

 

Oh yeah... I'm in the club. Scheduled production date of 10/25. Holding my breath waiting for the transition from status 111 to 112 so I can be more sure of the date. . My wife thinks I have complete lost my mind... she may be right, but I am going to do it in style

After cancelling my original order, I re-ordered my car on Friday 9/27 and I was given an October 25 production date. Looks like I'll have something extra to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Interestingly, when I tried to log into the owner's lounge with my production number, I was kicked over to the BMW owner's circle instead. They have my car in the system, but I can only track it through the BMW site and not the MINI site. Has this happened to anyone else?

I've got an October 18th build date according to the owners lounge. Ordered from Towson MINI int MD.
Easternbear, we'll probably be on the same boat. Hope it's here before Thanksgiving.

 

Hi Novembers...

I too am hoping to have my MINI delivered on my THANKSGIVING DAY BIRTHDAY -- November 28th this year. Actually, guess I'll have to "force myself" to take delivery the "day before" Thanksgiving since the dealership will surely be closed. Glad this thread was started. The MISERY of waiting will love company.

What are you getting???? I've debated ad nauseum between Pepper White and Velvet Red -- and after THREE changes, finally decided on the:

Velvet Red/Black Top -- Cordoba Beige soft leather interior, Premium and Sport Packages (all except the sport seats which I can't get with the Cordoba), Rally Lights, ANthracite. R90 BBS Wheels.

 

I'll have to be in the november club or on the edge of oktober. i don't no my production number so don't no excactly when it is beeing build but have no fear I was at the factory last week and their were many, MANY mini's out their so someone's getting lucky one of these days. No did not see any special colors.
I'm just holding out without a testdrive. Had a cooper for a weekend before the summer but I want to know how my cooper s thrills.

p.s. could have had a test drive on the weekend with a mcS but the guy before me figured it was to long and took the hood of. Did not yield the right of way, so it was a nice total, which was sad to see.

 

As long as you are waiting, why not wait till January when John Cooper promises 200 ponies delivered to your Mini dealer with full warranty?. I'll have a nice ElecBl/White Cooper S for sale around that time.....

 

Phone says 10.18 build date; owner's lounge doesn't say anything beyond "On Order"; Dealer is local so looking forward to delivery before close of NOV; have to decide about bike rack and American flag decal;

 

finally moved from on order to scheduled for production...still says 10/11/02 (after already being moved back two weeks......those friday production dates are still a mystery to me....they are all friday production dates right??? indi blue mcs leather winter, performance, and sport, driving lights too

 

I Don't have any valuable info for the club yet, but I am joining!
My dealer just called and told me they were bumping me up to an October Production! I should Have my baby around Thanksgiving!

Looks like I'm in the club too. My production date is 10/11. Originally 11/15! Have no idea why it was moved up, but I'm not complaining!

Just got bumped back a week to 10/25. Anyone know how long from build to delivery on the East coast?

 

No idea. Maybe I should call MINIUSA and see if they can bump some West Coasters instead. Their cars will be stuck in port for a while anyway with the dockworkers on strike.

How did you find out the specific build (born) date? Was it posted in the Owner's Lounge at MINI USA or did you have to look/call elsewhere?

Hello November Club,

My LY/Lapis S is scheduled for Oct. 11, it's good to know that it's getting close to production althought I've been taking hits for this combo. I don't really know why. Anybody with any art experience knows that blue and yellow are primary colors and go together perfectly...as for the black part of the interior all I can offer is that it is no longer a faux-pas in the fashion world to mix blue (at least dark blue) with black. There, now that I've said my peace I thank those more tolerant and thank RYGOLD for starting this thread. My profile online still shows 10/11 for a production date, so here's hoping for the best.

I took a visit to Downtown MINI in Toronto today. TONS of MCs (and one lonely MCS) on the lot - all 2002. The '03s are starting to trickle in - but I didn't see any, and I don't think the dealer has either!!

I did find out that some of the production originally slated for Canada in '03 is going to go to the States. We were scheduled for 2300 cars (that's all!!) for Canada from March/02 to Dec/02. For 2003 all Canada is going to get is 2400 cars in total.

Can that be right? Maybe the salesperson meant their dealer alone is only going to get 2400 cars.

Who the hell knows. I almost NEVER see a MINI on the road in Toronto, that's for sure.
