Bought a low milage '06 S...

......I missed my '02 and after a couple years couldn't stand it any longer.

'06 BRG/W S 28k miles, cold weather, cruise, no sunroof. Bought it Thursday, spent Friday detailing it, rested on Saturday by eating and watching fireworks with the family. Did the brakes, oil, and all filters on Sunday afternoon.

Seems this '06 has more fire than the old '02 S. I like it.

Now for tires and wheels. I like the R84 X-Lites and Dunlop RFs, but these tires are wore out and the wheels have curb rash.

Do folks still sell their new car takeoffs like they did a few years ago?

Welcome back, please post a pic of your new Mini, I too went from an 02 MCS to my 06 MCS JCW but no break in between. Regarding takeoffs........ sure I just picked up a set of JCW R112's, pics in my gallery, best of luck.

keep em if u need winter tires maybe? thats what i did. Lets see it, and the newer s's have a little more horsepower, i think 5 or 6? I wish i would have waited and scooped an 06 instead of my 03 even tho i love it to death, but theres just little defects and annoyances.

congrats, happy motoring

Congrats on the new MINI! I had a feeling you'd be back.

Tires & wheels can be found in the marketplace here, just like in the old days.

Right. But how do you let folks know you are looking for them? Seems I can't start a thread over there, or I'm doing something wrong (more the likely).

Glad you came back to your senses.

To tell the truth I don't know where you can post a want ad. As far as I can tell the market is only for selling things. That being said I have seen lots of RF tires for sale there & some of them go pretty cheap. That goes for wheels too.

Good luck with your search.
