HELP ME! There is a scammer that has hacked my ad!

OMG! Im in heart attack mode right now. This guy has hacked my www.cars.com ad and I dont know how he did it. He directed some potential buyer to my ebay auction where I have more pics of my car. Luckily the buyer contacted me and let me know. Well now I cannot access the $40 ad I paid for. I did not log on through any email or website other than cars.com directly. He has my car listed with his freakin info for like $12,000! Just took out my info and put in his! I am afraid it will hurt my potential sales. How the F&^K he hacked my stuff I dont know. Im extremely careful. I reported his A$$ to cars.com. I even called his number but he didnt answer. IM PISSED! I dont think he has my ebay stuff or he would have hacked that too. Any ideas?

I'd look for a phone number for cars.com and get it fixed right away!

will cars.com let you cancel the ad and start over? technically it was their system he hacked into, and if you can't get in to edit it, they should be willing to do that. Im sorry this is happening to you. That stinks! Good luck!

I emailed them (cars.com), but that is all I can do. They dont have a phone number. Im totally sick! Funny thing is, the guy he tried to scam emailed him (and has been keeping me in the loop) and made him an offer and naturally the scammer wanted the guys info. So the guy said you first.... this is what the scammer replied:

disneyland 55
Los Angeles 10000

what a moron. He sent the guy to my ebay auction. Did he not think the guy would be like "hmmm, maybe something isnt right here." I have had so many scammers it is unbeliveable. One guy emailed me wanting me to sign a contract to sell it to him. I declined and then the next day I got the same exact email from someone else! What is wrong with the world???

Most of the time hackers would send you a fake "cars.com" website through e-mail to make you sign in because of a update or a change etc. Once you've signed in, they would link you to the real cars.com website and your info. is sent to them. I've gotten plenty of fake paypal e-mails all the time.

That is why I never follow links in emails to a sign-in page, always go to the page yourself and sign in on the main page. Hope you get this all settled out.
