Where to buy halfshafts?

Hi all, I have a 2004 Cooper S that needs a halfshaft (CV joint) replaced. I can't seem to find a suplier other than BMW that has them. I really don't want to spend almost $600 for a halfshaft.

Anyone else able to find one? I've tried all the local car parts places and have looked around online and haven't found one.

Thanks in advance!!!

Both Classic MINI and Morristown MINI offer a discount on parts.

We can get them for you and as always we'll match classic or morristown.

Call us with a vin and I'll get you a price with shipping.

Are we talking about OEM? I already get a pretty significant discount from BMW (I own an auto dealership). I'm looking for a less expensive alternative. I buy halfshafts all the time, but they're usually under $150.

LOL, I wouldn't be spending over $500 for a torn boot.

The CV joint itself was bad, we tried to rebuild it but ran into the same problem with parts.

Good - Just wanted to be sure, I've seen it done I've replaced my boots a couple of times, but not the whole axle.

I ended up selling the car after I fixed it. Instead, I just picked up an '05 S Vert.
