So you can swap out the Non Chrome cover to a Chrome cover. What is the use if there is a door hiding it?

Ill have to keep my eyes peeled, but im pretty sure that ive seen some NON Cooper S with no door but a chrome gas cap!

Maybe I should pay more attention.

Convertible Ss do not have the chrome caps. The body isn't thick enough.

The convertable has a door to the filler cap. The door locks when the car is locked. Made me go look to check out the locking system though. Never thought about it 'till now, so no chrome gas cap for our's, just a dinky plastic one but hey, the wheels look great.

MINI Cooper Gas Lid Conversion Kit

For NON Cooper S, who want to switch from the gas door to the cap, check out this product from Outmotoring.com:

Got mine from Outmotoring. It was my second MOD.

I painted the ring with CR OMNI (in a spray can from the paint supplier) and PPG clear (from my touchup gun).
