New Cooper S owner..... JCW content inside.

I've been lurking around this forum for a while now and Thursday made the move from a 97 VW GTi VR6 to a 2005 Cooper S with JCW engine/exhaust. I found a car that was someones toy (only 8k miles) and snatched it up. See seller pics... I've yet to take my own.

Congrats Lippy! Longtime VWVortex member, owned oodles of Rabbit GTi's, a couple of 16V GTi's and a 97 GTi VR6 that was well modded. Also an Audi S4 Avant. You'll find our cult is very similiar to the VW mod crowd.

Good choice on the 2005 - especially with low miles - on top of that you got Astro Black - a highly sought after color that MINI discontinued for some strange reason.

Good find. Got my '06 MCS JCW CR/W in April and only had 8500 miles on it. Black looks nice- tough to keep clean but always a labor of love. Have fun.

Yep, I'm still on vwvortex, my wife drives our 04 Jetta GLi with the 1.8T. My GTi was great, but I've wanted a Mini for a while now. This is what I'm replacing....

I was really happy I found the Astro Black. I wonder why they discontinued it?

We've got almost this exact car in the family, leather interior. It's a baby though, < 70k miles and running just fine; perfect beater. Lets the 06 MINI avoid some snow days
