Aero grill?

Some folks cover with tape...or pull 'em off, sand and spray paint

others replace the standard parts with the Aero kit grill pieces. You can get those from the dealer and I do believe if you search on it you'll find a DIY instruction.

I've installed that mod for a few folks. The top - bonnet - piece is a quick change of just a handful of plastic fasteners. The piece that goes in the bumper cover requires a little work to make it fit - the Aero piece is too 'deep' for the standard bumper's hole, and the mounting tabs are in different places. A few minutes with a Dremel and the proper bits are all that's required.

Which way you lookin' ?

Yes, this is exaclty what I was refering to.
Is this a DIY job or did you purchase the grille as an aftermarket item?

I have the OEM black slat grill. Details and part numbers in my gallery: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...hp/photo/33754.When I bought it back in 2005, nobody had thought of using vinyl tape yet, but it sounds like a good idea.

i liked the idea (not only cause it was cheep but that helped!) I have seen some guys paint theres' but have heard it chips fairly easy. Also with the tape you can pull it off later and do it again or go back to the chrome if you want

About $5 from Pep Boys (Trim Blackout Tape or something like that it's called) and maybe half hour or so. I took my time as it's kind of a PITA in the tighter corners.

you can have my grill if you want it. i'll just charge you shipping and handling. I have a Jet Black 04 MCS... so mine is already black. however, there are a couple broken tabs on it...i cant remember if theyre important or not. i'll post pictures soon if you want. i guess you could always pop out the slates and just replace them with yours
