ABS & Tire Warning Lights

Recently my ABS and tire warning light have been going off at exactly same time while driving. Each time check the tires for pressure and rocks or nails (matched tires). Reset tire button and tire light goes out, after driving short distance the ABS light goes out. Checked ABS with light on by a panic stop and the ABS system worked OK. No particular pattern, may be ten or one-hundred miles between above lights coming on at the same time. Sounds like a sensor problem or an electrical problem but can't figure the relationship between ABS and low tire pressure. Any thoughts?
(2003 R50 bought new-152000 miles.)

The tire pressure system works off the ABS, it senses wheel rotation speed. Lower pressure=faster rotation speed.
Not sure what is causing your problem though, sorry.

Same thing started happening to me last night. So far mine seems to go off when either turning on uneven pavement or going over some really rough pavement.

If I turn off the car and turn it back on the tire warning light goes out and after I drive about 10 feet the ABS light goes out.

I had this happen and it was the alignment.. had my dealership fix it. (Well, after three visits and them not really knowing what it was exactly)

I could use an alignment....was hoping to put it off till the spring when I get new tires, tie rods and suspension....

I've read a few other threads that suggest it maybe the ABS sensor so I'm going to check them out and go from there.

This just happened to me as i was driving to shoprite today. My brake light came on and then the tire warning light started to blink. I checked my tires and everything looks good. I changed my brakes and sensor this past summer.WTF!

ABS system is sensitive to differences in tire rotation speed between wheels. Mis-alignment could be the culprit, or possibly a dragging rotor. The sensors themselves are fairly bulletproof, but a bad connection at one of the wheels might trigger it.

Well checked all the tires and air pressure was off by 5 PSI on the front pass and rear drivers side. Reset the Tire Warning System and that lasted about 15 minutes before the lights went on again. Seems to happen when I make left turns at about 40 MPH. I haven't gone more then 5 miles before it keeps tripping. Pulling out the Bentley manual to find the ABS sensor and make sure it's secure.

It is most likely a speed sensor. Same thing happening to my car, and it is about 120 plus speed sensor. Only certain shops have the special to tell you which one is going bad.

Speed sensor

When one of my speed sensors went out, my ABS, flat tire, traction control and service engine soon lights all came on. Was wierd though, as sometimes only ABS/flat tire, then others starting popping up once in awhile. Finally, they all just came on, and stayed on.
