Time Flies When You're Motoring!!!

In addition to MINI Takes The States, I hear there is also to be a Corporate presence at MINIs On Top. Since we went last summer, I hope to be able to do that again as it appears that I will be in country this year. I'd like to be able to do MTTS also, but that might be asking a lot.

Anyway, what are folks thinking about doing in 2012??

 

My boyfriend and I will be going down to MOTD for the first time this year, with both of our MINIs of course.

Gizmo 3K miles away from hitting the 100K mile mark on the odometer so I am sure this year will be filled with preventative maintenance so keep the car going.

 

Registered for MINIs On Top and room reserved at the Attitash!! Now all I have to do is get there...

I've been thinking about the Charlotte to Chicago leg as I am temporarily assigned to our plant in NC and my daughter and her family lives in Chicago. I shipped my MINI to NC as I got tired of being out of the country and having it sit. I bought it in August of 2009 and it still has under 15,000 miles. Not that I'm looking to put miles on it, but it isn't good to let it sit. Plus, it's a lot more fun than a rental car!

 

Update:

Leaving to go to MINIs On Top in New Hampshire in a little while. I'm driving up from North Carolina. As I understand, they cut off registration early as they reached 275 cars and about 500 people!!! This will be the biggest one yet for them.

Personally, 2 things:

I made the list for the Weather Observatory Tour!! Many people want to go, so they asked for submissions by people who had not been before. It's limited to 48 people and I got chosen!?!?!?!? Looking forward to that.

Secondly, the MoT folks are doing a thing called Evolution of MINI in conjunction with MINIUSA. They have been searching around for representative cars of different models, drivetrains and colors over the last 10 years. So, got chosen for that ALSO!?!?!?!?!?

Pride in the City has to be a Big Deal. I've been to Toronto and San Francisco, but the most recent time is getting on to 10 years now. Might be time to plan to go to another one.

How about telling us about it when you get back? After all, we are the QoC!!!

Cool. It's impossible for all of us to be everywhere. It won't like being there, but we'll know what you saw, what you did and what moved you. I'll bet it will be a very powerful experience for you.
