Road recommendation in Eastern Portland
Because I'm new to the Portland area, I don't really know the roads. Any recommendation where I can take my MINI for a fun drive in east Portland??? I prefer a road with lots of curves and less traffic.

Take I-84 east to mile marker 18 (Lewis & Clark State Park). Head south. Lots of back roads, one of which brings you out in Sandy. Another will end up in ZigZag.
Drive past Estacada. Keep going into the forest. You will end up in Detroit, (Oregon).

yup yup, still got the M Roadster. Getting it finalized.
Finished up the stereo last week:
-stock headunit as I don't want to give anyone an excuse to slash my top
-XM radio module
-Infinity Reference 6.5 components up front
-Infinity Reference 4" coax behind seats
-10" Polk GNX sub frenched into the trunck cavity with portholes to the cabin
-Alpine 5 channel amp
Put in a new back window, new emblems, Dinan carbon fiber cold air intake, Dinan stage 2 chip, clear corners, etc.
All I've got left on my list of to do's is to:
-repaint wheels
-repaint front bumper
-repaint rear bumper
Wheels are pitted and previous owner rim rashed 'em. The front and rear bumper have some paint cracks in them (it's urathane bumpers and looks like they were tapped and thus cracked the paint).
Hey, here's a thought....Dan, wanna help me paint something!?!?!?! You've got that nice paint booth and all. Wink wink. Ha.

Cross a bridge over to the west side and there are lots of fun close-in drives: try driving (carefully) around Dunthorpe, or up to Council Crest, or up to Forest Park. Many great MINI trails.

The Clackamas river road, between Carver and Oregon City is good when the traffic is light. Skyline Blvd in the west hills if you are early enough to miss the bike riders. West of Beaverton take Scholls Ferry to 210 which takes you into Newberg. Very twisty up and down hills.
